On another forum I read about the Traitor DVD release being 1.78:11 and not 2.35:11 and am sort of confused as to what this means? Does the 1.78:1 mean full screen or something? I have an old SD TV so am not sure really what this means to us non-HD TV people, any help would be great as I...
2 DAYS IN THE VALLEY - What do you get when you take an overly stressed police officer, a cocky hitmen, a "sleeve dealing" sports celebrity, a pompous hollywood executive, his timid secretary and an old school mobster who's biggest fear is dogs? Well, you get a movie called 2 Days In The...
Just got done putting in my order at amazon.com for the CLASS OF 1984: Special Edition (that I got for an amazing deal with THE WARRIORS: The Ultimate Directors Cut for $23.98). I had been waiting since I first got my DVD player back in '99 for Class of 1984 to come out on DVD, and...
Yes Bruce Campbell is great, but does that make anything he is in great? Did you see Alien Apocalypse? Even Bruce himself thinks it is crap! As well I have already said that Hollywood is constantly ripping off ideas, what I am trying to get accross is we have the choice in the end, if these...
I do see what you are saying and yes I know about "concept-splicing", just when I hear someone who for the most part is always for Disney (the company they work for) and their current projects and I have him saying it is an utter rip off (even when on Movies like the Incredibles he did not agree...
Hey JoSan, I do understand what you are saying, I know they want to make money, but as well we as consumers do have a choice on what we support and all I am trying to do is raise that flag. Those on my side that don't like it, we can choose not to spend our money on it, if the film doesn't...
Keep telling yourself that and someday you may actually believe it! Yes, inspiration comes from other people, but at what point do we call inspiration forgery?
OK you keep pretending Sky High is something it is not, what I find funny is the same people defending this movie, will be the exact same people making comments on how lame and unoriginal the movie industry is while you patronize the very confines of it's problems. As per Sky High being...
The "Children Of The Atom" book was published in 1953 (not the 40's), and was an inspiration for The X-men, that is true. Was the idea for The X-Men ripped off from the Children Of The Atom? NO, the powers and types of mutants are completely different (as well as the societal view points and the...
I am way confused, so you are saying that Charles Xavier teaching the younger mutants how to use their powers, isn't a school? If thats the case then wouldn't the whole Harry Potter analogy would not work as they are being trained to be witches and don't really have any other ciriculum (sp?)...
Just got back from Best Buy,I picked up the first two season of The Greatest American Hero
Season 1 -Season 2
Now I just need a TAB soda and a BETAMAX player and I'll be totally retro:b!!!!
I gotta wait until August for this bad boy though :frowning:

I thought it was out...
Best way to get The Tick on DVD
Get all your friends to watch it on Toon Disney weeknights at 8pm!!
Just like family guy on cartoon network they see the ratings and they pump it right out on DVD if they know they can make the money
So spread the word!!!!
Just checked DVD aficianado no set release dates for either season 2's, but they are up like they are awaiting release dates, so hopefully we should know soon!
Even in Bring It on? Orlando played a good elf and he looked cool falling out of a helicopter in Black Hawk Down other than that he doesn't got much else going for him
War of the Worlds did have a very gripping first half, yet at mid point and over it seemed to lose steam. His son runs off, he is hiding with Tim Robbins, who is some sort of sexual predator(maybe) but all in all is off his rocker. We don't get much back story on that so we are just left to...
I think this is another attempt by Hollywood to let us movie goers know they have no new ideas, and none coming either. It's sad that nowadays TV shows are more like films and films are turning into all remakes of TV shows "Some say the end is near. Some say will see armageddon soon...
I tend to find violence that actually happened to be the most brutal, which is why I would say the two biggest teeth grinding violence scenes for me would be Wonderland - when John Holmes and Eddie Nash's hooligans go in and well if you seen the movie you know The Passion Of The Christ -...
as I have stated in past threads, The best way to get any company to start releasing seasons of Past shows on DVD's is viewership on re-runs. These companies cannot resist it when a show is getting decent ratings in re-runs, just like how Family Guy on the cartoon network showed FOX it was time...
Unfortunately we will all prolly have to wait until they turn Bosom Buddies in to some god awful movie remake then they will finally release the original on DVD to promote their bastardization movie. YAY 4 HOLLYWOOD:frowning:
I totally agree with you, I wish sony would hurry it up but until then at least you can catch the episodes on re-runs late night on the WB (pretty much the only thing the WB is good for):D
My issue with the final seasons of X-files was them turning the smoking man into a Kenny type of character. Is it just me or did it seem he died every other episode towards the end? Mulder: "Oh My God they killed Smoking Man" Scully: "You Bastards" :D
