Caught up on the last two eps and really enjoyed both! Agreed that Henry Winkler is doing a pretty great job playing the father - so weird seeing him playing a con man/bad guy but definitely believable. I also like Boris - very mysterious - curious to see what happens with him this season.
Sorry for the bump, just wanted to share some ComiCon - or rather, ComicTRON news with you guys. Disney will have a Tron panel at the event (I guess maybe not too surprising since they've been there the last two years). I am envious of anyone that gets to go and see new footage!
Agreed - loved the season premiere, should definitely be another enjoyable season! Missed last night's episode (so don't tell me what happens) but thoughts on Henry Winkler so far??
I was also surprised by how much I enjoyed the movie - guess I wasn't expecting it to be quite as entertaining as it was! Jake was great in the title role (definitely LOOKED amazing), and the action sequences were pretty impressive. I thought overall, it was a pretty solid, fun action-adventure...
Agreed - the trailer looks beyond impressive, and looks like its shaping up to be something pretty spectacular. Love the visuals (love those Light Cycles), love Daft Punk and love the fact that they brought back Bruce and Jeff Bridges. The story seems pretty intriguing - like that they're...
USA's on a roll with their series, that's for sure. This'll be on after Burn Notice, ,so that should definitely make for some good summer viewing.
Yeah, I searched for a thread for this, but couldn't find one surprisingly. I thought it was a nice difference from the other "doctor" shows out...
Thought I'd start this up since second season is coming back to USA on June 3rd! A year later, but I guess not a surprise since it was cable's highest rated new series last year. Most anticipated new cast member - Henry Winkler as Hank & Evan's dad. Looove the casting!
I thought it was an enjoyable movie....visually pleasing, at the very least, and very Tim Burton-esque. I liked the 3-D a lot as well - I definitely thought it added to the movie. The performances were all pretty good - thought Helena was a standout, and the voice actors were solid (Stephen Fry...
LOL - perhaps. I've been noticing Jay Baruchel a lot lately, actually - feel like all his upcoming previews have been dominating my TV screens recently - especially How To Train Your Dragon. I liked him in Tropic Thunder so it'll be interesting to see how he handles his leading roles these days...
Did you see the trailer for this yet? It came out back in December, and saw a couple photos of Nic Cage in New York floating around recently too for re-shoots. I thought the trailer looked pretty cool....and I'm sure most people know who Jay Baruchel is by now since he's got a bunch of movies...
A new trailer for this is out: http://movies.ign.com/dor/objects/664420/prince-of-persia/videos/pop_mov_trl2_030110.html
Heavy on the special effects but they look pretty great. Still have high hopes for the film!
Bumping thread - the movie opens in two weeks! Actually, it's premiering in London next Thursday. I'm definitely checking this out in 3D - saw the trailer ahead of Avatar and it looked amazing. Really can't wait to check this out - been waiting forever for it!
Sure - no worries! It's very in-the-desert-action-oriented, but hopefully it's better than The Mummy...at the very least, it'll be enjoyable to watch!
One of the reasons I'm excited to see the movie (aside from Jake) is Sir Ben Kingsley as the villain - just read a brief interview with him...
More "authentic" than American accents, maybe? Who knows....Accents aside, I agree that it looks good. The Super Bowl trailer had lots of crazy action in it - so should be a pretty fun summer blockbuster, if anything!
Just wanted to bump this thread - a lot of new stuff has come out about the film and it all looks like it'll be a pretty good action film, and hopefully one of the better video game adaptations!

Yeah - definitely more of a sequel than a remake. I read an interview with Burton sometime ago saying that he drew from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, as well as some of the "vibe" from the poem Jabberwocky for the story of this movie. Don't think there is a need...
Thought i'd revive this thread....the show premieres again in January, and I'm def planning on tuning in. I got pretty into it last summer, and it was enjoyable. I really liked the Payson storyline...how it ended at the end of last season was so heartbreaking, and I also like the new girl Emily...
I also agree for the most part....It was definitely a solid effort on Disney's part that kinda brought me back to the good ole days of Disney animation. I thought the animation was gorgeous!! I enjoyed the music - it was catchy and it was fun, and I especially loved the animated sequence of...
Thought I'd revive this thread since the movie is now out in limited release....Anyone have a chance to see it yet? I've been hearing some pretty good things about it in the reviews I've read (it's currently 83% Fresh on RT) - mainly that Disney hasn't really lost its touch, at least in terms of...
I think Jake can hold his own on this movie... I don't even know that they need or even have a Sparrow-ish character. I do think they have a pretty good evil villain, esp with THE Sir Ben Kingsley playing him. I think it looks really good so far but I guess time and moviegoers taste will tell if...
Apparently, Ubisoft thinks the movie is going to outperform Pirates of the Carribbean's success at the box office next year....he may have a case, judging by that trailer. This looks like it has all the same elements, action-adventure, comedy and then some (Jake Gyllenhaal gets me) and an...
Agreed re: Zemeckis - I've enjoyed most of his movies, both live-action AND mo-cap. Regardless of whether he uses the technology or not in his films, ultimately it's about how he tells the story and I think he does a pretty good job of doing that. Roger Rabbit (animation + live-action), Forrest...
Well, here is a different version of the trailer: http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/a-christmas-carol/japanese-trailer
It's the Japanese one. I know that 3D is a pretty big sell here nowadays, and since it's Disney, the movie's got to appeal to kiddies and have their parents feel comfortable...
The Muppets Christmas Carol was pretty awesome, I won't deny that. What I meant by the time travel was that Zemeckis really focuses on that aspect when's using the CG....I think this interview with him explains it better: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/41765
There was (well, it is still going...
Surprised there isn't a thread on this yet, considering the poster is the first thing I see whenever I come here!
Starts the holiday movie season on November 6th. It's one of my all-time favorite Christmas stories, and I think this will be an interesting version, particularly with the...
I'm really happy to hear your good reviews! I definitely have to catch this ASAP before it's out of theaters. Seeing Toy Story in theaters for the first time was like a defining moment of my childhood, so I definitely want to experience it again. Did you all stay during the intermission - I hear...
Entertaining definitely. It was a good blend of sci-fi, action and a little bit of a thriller mixed in as well, and I was really glad to see Bruce back in action. I thought the plot was intriguing but not overly complicated and one of the things I thought was pretty cool about the movie was the...
Sci-Fi and Bruce Willis do make for a pretty winning combination.
Here's an Edit Bay report w/ Jonathan Mostow - gives a little bit more insight into the whole surrogates world and movie.
