i have a toshiba rd-xs34s DVD-r with a 160 GB HD...right now it contains all my home movies. i've burned them all to disc, but i was thinking of backing it all up on an external HD. i'm looking at the Western Digital My Book 250-500 GB. any thoughts or recommendations? TIA

new to digital terminology etc. looking at plasma TVs/monitors i have a chance to get an incredible deal on a 50 inch B&O Beovision 4 plasma TV, but i have a couple of concerns: it really is only a monitor with 2 VGA inputs. do i need HDMI? i'm planning on getting a comcast HD cable box...

i think i can get the 42" for $3200-$3400...but, in general, is the sony XS955 worth it, etc...i guess i'm just looking for some reassurance before i shell out a lotta cash...
