Yeah, actually, I just opened the outlet and tied the cable ground under the screw with the existing ground for the outlet. Seems to have worked great.

Just purchased this receiver, and it is my understanding that I am supposed to be able to view the various setup menus on my plasma disply. I have the receiver connected to my display through the component output, and all my various sources run through the receiver I believe I have followed...

I have everything plugged into a Monster surge protector. I have not tried disconnecting the cable, but the hum goes away when I route the cable box directly to the display instead of through the receiver. Of course I'd prefer to have everything through the receiver. Thanks.
