I know this might be a shot in the dark, but about a year ago I was reading someones post where they made their own screen. The screen was made out of tubing that was curved slightly and covered with a material. If someone could help me find the post or know of the post, that would be...
I converted all my music from cds to MP3's and have a problem. There is volume differences between albums and would like to keep everything uniform. Is there a program out there that you guys use to adjust this?
Ok so I got a component cable for Christmas and hooked it up as my monitor cable to the TV. Still no luck. Do I have to do any setup and select the component monitor out as the designated one?
I tried hooking up my PS2 through my AVR147 first through the composite input then through the component input. I cannot get video through the receiver, yet when I hook it up directly to the tv (toshiba 27" CRT) I get video. My monitor out from my AVR147 is through S-video. If I hook up through...
I talked to a friend fo mine and he said that it might not produce dolby audio unless its a 5.1 movie or show that I am watching. Is that a possibility?
Its my satellite recorder. I went under dolby digital in the menu and it comes up with the 3 following selections: 1. dolby digital only 2. pcm only 3. dolby digital/pcm I have tried all 3 and nothing comes out. What are the chances that the optical output is dirty with dust?
I cant seem to get my optical to work on my pvr. I know its not the cable because I got 2 new cables and swapped them. I also know its not the receiver because its a brand new Harman Kardon AVR147. Does anyone know what else to do?
I hooked them up and they sound OK. Not like they did at the store. What are the chances that they had everything at full. LIke the sub on max and the volume up at max? Also what about having a different receiver than what they said they had hooked up?
I just got myself an AVR-147 receiver and a set of HKTS-15 speakers. I was looking at the back of my receiver and there is a switched AC accessory outlet that is rated at 50W max. What can I plug into this? I was thinking my sub so it turns on and off with the amp, but its at 100W. What do I...
I just bought a set of Harman Kardon HKTS-15 speakers with a 100W down firing ported sub. The port is to the rear of the sub enclosure. The receiver I am using is a Harman Kardon AVR-147. Is it better to have the sub on the hardwood floor or have a small rug under it?

So they would be a satisfactory speaker to get for an entry level system till I get my student loans paid off. I am thinking of getting some Paradigm speakers after a few years. I am going to go for a sound test this upcoming weekend to listen and see what they are like. Anything is better...
Has anyone ever had any luck with these? I am a beginner with my home theater and just starting to get into it now. I have a limited budget and I already have an amp that my uncle gave me (Panasonic SA-HE100). Right now I have a mini system thats about 15 years hooked up with a small sony sub...
