I converted all my music from cds to MP3's and have a problem. There is volume differences between albums and would like to keep everything uniform. Is there a program out there that you guys use to adjust this?

Doug, what do you mean tell the AVR which video output to use for each device? I am only using the Monitor output for the video out.

Ok so I got a component cable for Christmas and hooked it up as my monitor cable to the TV. Still no luck. Do I have to do any setup and select the component monitor out as the designated one?

OK so I just talked to Bell ExpressVu and they said that the optical signal should always be on. So there has to be something wrong with the receiver.

I talked to a friend fo mine and he said that it might not produce dolby audio unless its a 5.1 movie or show that I am watching. Is that a possibility?

And if its broken, any ideas on what I should look at for fixing it, or just wait and get a HD receiver?

Its my satellite recorder. I went under dolby digital in the menu and it comes up with the 3 following selections: 1. dolby digital only 2. pcm only 3. dolby digital/pcm I have tried all 3 and nothing comes out. What are the chances that the optical output is dirty with dust?

I cant seem to get my optical to work on my pvr. I know its not the cable because I got 2 new cables and swapped them. I also know its not the receiver because its a brand new Harman Kardon AVR147. Does anyone know what else to do?

I hooked them up and they sound OK. Not like they did at the store. What are the chances that they had everything at full. LIke the sub on max and the volume up at max? Also what about having a different receiver than what they said they had hooked up?

I just bought a set of Harman Kardon HKTS-15 speakers with a 100W down firing ported sub. The port is to the rear of the sub enclosure. The receiver I am using is a Harman Kardon AVR-147. Is it better to have the sub on the hardwood floor or have a small rug under it?

Well the sub that I have right now is a small sony. It has a dedicated jack for a sub cable or you can run rear speakers through it to get the signal.
