I've always been a fan of Pioneer and two of my past units have been Pioneer and couldn't be happier. I'd probably check with Best Buy or Circuit City to get an idea of how much they run for and then find it cheaper online.

I think that Nextel has a great plan. It's the national value for $55 a month I believe. You get 1000 anytime and free nights and weekends. I've been a nextel user for 3 years and before that Cingular. I couldn't be happier with them.

Use DVD-R. It's compatible with most DVD players. I would only use +R's if your burning data from your computer.

I've always been a big fan of memorex and haven't really had any problems w/ their DVD-R's

I been successful haggling them with home appliances and have gotten great discounts, and an old friend of mines who used to work there told me if you talk to the manager and tell them that this TV is $XXX and if it is within their range they will sell it to you.
