I noticed that a complete series set of Fathers Knows Best is getting released by Shout. I wonder if this included the broadcast episodes of season one instead of some of them being the syndicated versions like the original release.

It is most likely counterfeit. Look at the size on a computer. The discs are around 4gb then they are counterfeit.

They just changed the aspect ratio to 16:9 for dvd set. That answers my initial question.

If it is 4:3 then hd masters of the 4:3 exist.

I wonder if the dvd set will be 4:3 or if that is also a misprint.

It has 4 x 3 on the package even though it is not. The picture does look scrubbed. No grain really at all. Little House looks leagues better.

I am not thrilled about it and would rather have the 4 x 3 that they said I would be getting. I am honestly not sure how a publisher could get that incorrect. One has to wonder if they did that to sell sets.

It is not the end of the world for me but I would have preferred oar.

I checked all of that. There is more info on the sides but lost info on top and bottom. Compared it with original dvd release.

This was an instant purchase for me. I can’t believe that it is getting released. This almost feels like the golden age of tv releases again like early 2000s. Many of the same titles that started it all getting blu-ray releases now.

Anyone get this set yet? I am interested in knowing if the discs are pressed or burned.

They got me on this one also. It will not happen to me again. No day one purchases from VEI again from me. I will wait.

I wonder if the put the few cut songs back in for the blu-ray. I also wonder if it really is in hi-def.

I wonder if this set will only be on burned blu-ray discs and not the pressed discs like the Charmed set started out with.

I was under the impression that Last Man Standing was MOD burned and not pressed releases. This does not have anything to do with the size though.

I have had two sets so far and they have both been bad. In fact part of disc 4 on the 1st set initially worked and now it does not.

That would be great when you get a chance, it would help me decide if I should try to get another set.

I tried discs the in 2 different blu-ray players, 2 different dvd players and 2 different computers and get the following. I am pretty sure this is either disc rot or a glue layer issue like the Anchor Bay or Warner discs. The only other disc that I had that behaved like this was Space Camp...

Because the media layer inside has rotted and the disc is not playable.

Received my second set of Season 1 Part 1 StudioWorks Set from Ebay today and none of the discs in that set work at all. I wonder how many of these are affected by disc rot.

Here is a picture of the mint StudioWorks discs. The first three do not load at all. The last one loads. I wonder of I just got a bad set or if others are experiencing dvdrot on their sets.

Just bought the first Studioworks set, but it does not work. Discs look perfect, but will not play at all. I am guessing disc rot. Need to order another one.

I am betting that footage is missing and they are the syndication prints. Entire episode should be 94-96 minutes. Other episodes in season 4 are around 47 min.

The season 4 two parter episodes are short, about 44 min each. They are also that way on Peacock.

Hit the Road Jack was at the end of Stairway to Heaven. I think that the Studioworks Season 1 part 1 should also provide the pilot in 1 part instead of 2.
