They want a fixed screen mounted to the wall above the 26" tall cabinet. This is a large finished basement with no windows and is dedicated to movies and video games.
There will be a cabinet shelf system beneath the screen that is 26" tall and very wide. So with 7 foot ceilings that allows about a 111" screen at max. This only allows the screen trim to be 2" and wouldn't allow anything to sit on top of the shelf at all. Thoughts?
With a 7ft ceiling and the...
The room is very large. Seating can be very far back with plenty of room to wii in front of it. How far away from a 106" screen would people typically wii?
Looking for a projector for a client of mine. They want to spend anywhere from $1500-$2500 on just the projector and screen. Here are the facts.
Projector will be ceiling mounted and can be mounted anywhere, so throw distance isn't really a concern although less distance would be better.
16:9...
So what's the lowest I can pay for something that will produce a reasonable 3d 1080p picture at a throw distance of about 12.5 feet or less and a screen size of about 84"? Is this just not enough of a throw distance to get a good pic?
So you're saying I have too far of a throw distance? Couldn't I just move the projector closer? It's ceiling mounted anyways. Is there something I'm missing? Does that degrade the picture quality?
First off thanks for the help you guys provide! I want a 3D 1080p 16:9 projector. I saw an epson powerlite 3010 and it blew me away so now I must have one too. I'm looking to spend as little as possible to achieve decent/good performance. It doesn't have to be as perfect as the 3010 but I want...
I'm fully aware but it's what i'm stuck with. So, back up, punt and try again. Just kidding, thanks for the info! Any help on the questions would be great. Also just to clarify i'm thinking about $300 for the amp and 300 for the screen. roughly.
Okay, i'm gonna be picking up either a Vivitek D951HD 1080p or a Vivitek H1080FD 1080p. They are both 1080p and will be used in a dedicated theater room with white walls but no lighting when watching video. I need a big cheap fixed screen, and a 5.1 receiver for about $300 that has airplay or...
Oh man, guys. When i said party you thought i meant a mini rave or whole house party. I meant like 10-20 people dancing in my living room, which is seriously like 15x20 ft. Sound quality and looks is important. PA speakers won't do. What about this sub...
Looking for some mains that will be used for music only. All sorts of music. There will be NO sub so i will probably need 8's to get the bass that i need. Right? Hoping to use these for parties in my front room. The amp has not been decided, so power requirements/impedance are irrelevant...
First off dual sucks even for car audio.
Second: a speaker is a speaker. The only big difference between them normally is the ohm. Car speakers are normally 4ohm. Home speakers are normally 8ohm. But there are many home speakers that are 4ohm and many car speakers that are 8ohm or 2ohm and even...
Hi, Im pretty experienced with car audio. But i have no idea what to get for home theater and little time to figure it out. If i could get some links to some good speakers in my price range that would be great. I already have a pair of Paradigm titans for the rear surrounds. The mains will be...
Arent you suppposed to use a sub for each of the 4 main channels? Not just 1 channel split everywhere? That way your front right/left, and rear right/left each have a little sub. Playing what they play. The subs in surround...not mono. Of course just splitting it would work but its just a...
Are there any good kits for my budget of $700. This price would include shipping, finish and all. My buddy would be doing them for me. Im buying 4 mains because he is getting one pair for doing the work. I think were going with a formica finish. Thanks
