Thanks for the warning. I read about needing the EQ to be turned on. I find that strange they would default it off, but the distance settings be taken into effect.. Well it's good have a reminder about that :)

Oh so it will adjust that setting for me.. (selecting small/large). Wasn't sure if the unit was smart enough to do that.. though it's not a hard thing to do in the firmware.

Just to warn you is that you're putting more of a load on your amplifier by placing your speakers in parallel. What's your setup.. hard question to answer if we don't know what type of speaker outputs your recever has.

I agree with that.. buy some decent speakers and build up. Don't rush to get that 5.1 or else you'll upgrade later and have to dump the speakers you bought cheap. Sometimes it takes a while.. but it's worth it.
