Can anyone tell me what the difference is, or benifit, of using component cables with a source that outputs 480i vs using the standard 1 yellow composite cable on the same source?
Sorry for the late replies, I've been at work. Out of the 30 or so pm's I had, thetrueadonis was the first and as you can see sent payment already. Thank you everyone for the interest
Black-out cloth is material used for the back side of curtains to keep the light out. It also works well for projector screen material. You just need to make a frame then stretch it out over the frame. You can then add any sort of border. Almost any fabric store carries this type of material
Ok, I've decided the only cost effective way to get a screen the exact size I want is to build my own. I was planning on blackout cloth as I've heard good reviews. There are several different blends of it. Are there any differences in the screen gain between the different blends?
Well, thats basically what I was wondering. I'm setting up my screen and with the screen size, throw distance, zoom, and lumens all factored in at a 1.0 screen gain, lighting is recommended at no more than 4%. A screen gain of 2.0 will give me a 8% lighting, which I'm hoping will allow for some...
I do agree with many of the previously ones mentioned, but here's one I saw nobody else mentioned: Getting the hadoken in Mega Man X and then firing it over and over again just to hear mega man say it!
The graphics are top notch for the ps2, but I'm used to my 360 and gamecube running of the components so they didn't blow me away. I'm starting to get used to turning right to go left and vise-versa, and if you go to the config screen and turn the battle speed all the way up it fixes the lagging...
I feel retarded playing this game so far (about 20 min. into it). The battle system better pick up, I can't stand the whole press attack and wait for your character to do something thing. If they were gonna make it like that, they should have stuck with the turn based attacks. That, and the...
There's that exact model on ebay right now for $499.99 Its a local pick-up in houston, tx but the price should indicate if the $500 repair cost is worth it or not
also, what should I look for in a contrast ratio? I noticed alot of the new stuff has 5000:1 or better, but alot of the others have 2000:1 or less. Where's the cutoff point to where I'm going to start to noticed the difference?
The PT-AX100U was on the top of my list to check out. Any other suggestions on quality pj, or what to look for to see that I get something I am going to enjoy? Like my previous post stated, I don't want the blurry effect I had with my last one
There's only one window in the back of the room, and the blinds on it keep out most the light. I still have the screen from my last projector, so thats one less thing I'll have to budget for. My biggest concern is the last projector I had seemed to have a blurry effect during high action scenes...
the 10' was a typo, i just fixed that. I hit the 1 instead of the 2. I was hoping to keep the cost below $2K for a tv, and I saw a few pj's in the $1500 range which is what made me consider them as another option
I'm adding a new display device for a gaming/movie room where the viewing distance will be about 20'. The gaming will be done through an xbox360's component cables, and the movie viewing will be done with a hdmi output on the dvd player. I was thinking of a tv mainly becuase I wouldn't have...

Ok, I talked with the owner of the amp and it does have speaker level inputs that I can hook the speaker outputs of the reciever into. I guess my question now is, will the amp be putting out enough power that it will be an upgrade from the recievers power? Also, I will be getting a better...
