My couch is against the back wall where the surround back speakers would be. Is it worth it to get 7.1 if the speakers would be right behind me or a little above. They would probably be about 4 ft. above people heads when they are sitting. Steve
The manuel calls it bi wire an I did notice a difference in the mids and highs when I connected them. So maybe the manuel has a mis prints. Thanks Steve
Ok here is my set up and I think my problem also. My 2 front speakers are Bi-wired so the manuel says to hook up the second set of cables from those speakers to the surround back inputs and put the speaker C selector swith to on, and connect the rear back speaker to the second set (speaker b...
I have a Marantz 7500 receiver and I have 6 speakers and everything seems to be hook up right, but when I put the A/B speaker switch to A and B the sixth channel plays the same as the Front Center. Is there something in the menu I may be missing? Steve
The Icredibles is an execellent one also Fast and Furious in DTS and any Star Wars, best sounding on that is episode 4 when Luke blows up the Death Star.
I had cheap walmart speaker wire that was I think 14 gauge I bought 10 gauge sound king wire, probably overkill but I think that my speakers now sound cleaner and hit a little harder. I think it was worth it to upgrade and now I'm not always thinking should I change speaker wire.
I have a Marantz 7500. I have all Cambridge soundworks speakers the center speaker is the MC500, this is something the salesman at Cambridge told me I should try. He said he has this set up in his system and it sounds good. Steve
Has anyone hooked a sub to the center speaker terminal on the receiver so that speaker wire goes to the center speaker and a sub woofer and then set it to large? Is that making it a full range speaker? Is there any advantage in doing this? If so would that mean there would be an advantage in...
Does anyone know if you can still buy a new Standard Directv receiver with a Optical output and S-video, and do you know where I could get it and who makes a good one. thanks Steve
I have wall to wall. I do have a lot of empty walls I'm afraid of making the room to dead. I guess what I should do is just buy one panel at a time, but it seems liek teh echo get trapped in the opening of the skylight. Steve
My living room is 17 1/2 feet long by 14 1/5 feet wide, with a ceiling that one side goes up to 30 feet and angels down to the other side of the room to ten feet. There is a big picture window in the room and also a door with glass in that next to the window. There is a skylight on the highest...
Would it be better to mount the side rear speakers up about ten feet, or low on an end table. I only have these options as there it a big picture window in my living room. Steve
Right now I have a Marantz 7500 receiver and for speakers I have all Cambridge Soundworks T500 for fronts, MC500 for center those are bi-wired, rears are S300. I have 16 gauge speaker wire from Walmart. The longest one of those are 20 feet, for the back the longest one is 55 feet. Would it be...
