    BBC Absolute Power

A while back I caught a fairly recent BBC series called "Absolute Power." It reminded a little of the Yes, Minister/Prime Minister series. Has anyone else seen this? Know if there are plans to release it in the US?

    Rankin/Bass Christmas Specials

As I understand it, the 35mm print of the Little Drummer Boy has not been found. It was last used for a VHS release, but was apparently lost by the time there were efforts to release it on dvd. All we have today is a 16mm print, and that's why we have the poor quality on dvd. i don't know...

    Rankin/Bass Christmas Specials

For more Rankin Bass info...the current historian for the Rankin/Bass studios maintains a blog that is more frequently updated than rankinbass.com If you're really into Rankin/Bass, he has written a couple of very informative books on the subject. http://enchantedworldofrankinbass.blogspot.com/

    Joyeux Noel on dvd?

I saw this film at the Angelika in Plano, TX, this last spring, and assumed it would be out by Christmas of this year. It wasn't a great film, but a nice, if dark, holiday film, set against the backdrop of WWI. Any news on the release?

    Disney/Warner shorts in HD?

Is it possible that the old Disney and Looney Tunes shorts could be presented in HD? I assume they were done on film?

    What's YOUR 1080P film fantasy???

This is not a complete list, but two films I'd love to see in the best resolution possible are Fantasia and Fantasia 2000. Eventually I'd love to see the Star Trek and Star Wars films.

    Popular Science films

I don't know if these were sort of news reels before movies, or an actual television show, but have the Popular Science films ever been collected and make available for consumers?

    Rankin Bass DVDs

Just wondering . . . do you think we'll see these old specials in HD at some point? I was watching the Rudolph DVD, and I feel a bit like I can see too much. Somehow this is a little more magic on a smaller tube set with a fuzzy picture. Before I start asking for these shows in HD, I suppose...

Have all of the Garfield primetime specials been released now?

    Is it just me or......????

I would think there's a limited amount of time the public would be interested in the reality programs. Those responsible for putting them on dvd probably think they need to be released while interest is still high - getting the most dollar out of them possible.

    The Vicar of Dibley

I'm very excited about this release. I thought I'd seen and owned all the episodes until I heard of this release. I'm a bit perturbed by the upcoming AYBS? Christmas release. I already own all the episodes the series, but it appears I'll have to buy this upcoming release to get the never...

"War of the Worlds" missed extra

Looking at the extra's for the new special edition of "War of the Worlds," I was sorry to see that nothing was included on the flying wing. When I first saw this movie as a kid, I went to my dad and said, "there's a plane on here and looks like the stealth bomber." I haven't seen this film in...
