Hey Everyone! I have a weird deal going on with my pioneer receiver. For some reason, intermittently, it will not put sound out of either the left front or right front speaker. I have to crank the volume way up in order the non working speaker to kick in. It is not a bad connection I have...
Im looking for a 50" tv for under 1800 and this looks like a good deal. Any thoughts? Opinions. It doesnt have to be plasma either. I want best bang for buck here.
Really that is pretty much the only difference. The sound quality on the 600 is much better, and it also comes with a PC input if that matters to you or not. However, to some this is a minor difference, to some it matters. Check out the base of the 60u and then the 600u. The 600u pedestal is...
Thanks for the information. So how would i do A THX optimode?? What is it. Also I have DVE is that a usefull tool to calibrate the picture settings. If so, is it actually usefull since i watch cable mostly. And as you state, the cable box and DVD player may output completely different...
"your mileage may vary greatly" im not sure what that means. what are your settings across the board? I guess im not completely sure what you are suggesting.
hey, i just posted the same thing about the th-42px600u. that website recomends the same exact settings. I think they look great maybe, a touch bright depending on the broadcast. I dont know if they would be the same if i had it professionally calibrated but im leaving mine.
Im currently using the calibration settings suggested in this reveiw. http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/p...h42px600u.html I have 2 questions. Do these settings make sense and should i be using them? And, where it says enhanced black level off, does that mean setting black levels to...
actually i had it set up fine when i had the component cables hooked up. i didnt know that cables HD channels started at 700. when i plugged directly to the TV the HD channels were mixed in. Whoops!
I tried the component cable as well and it didnt send anything higher than 480i, I was under the impression that component could send 480p. Is this not the case? And how come if i hook a coaxil cable straight to the tv it can produce a high def signal but not when i go from the box to the set.
So heres the deal, i got a new panasonic TH42px600u tv yesterday and set it up immediately ( naturally ), now im confused. i set the cable up two ways, directly to the tv, then to the cable STB and then the TV. Both connections used coaxil cable. When i hook the cable directly to the tv...
Hey all, I just bought a new panny tv. For the sound portion, should i use the optical digital out from the tv to the receiver, then hook all components to the TV. Or should i hook all compnents (audio portion) directly to the receiver. I think im going to hook all of the video portion of...
Actually the model im looking at is a panasonic TH-42px600u. So you guys are saying i do need an HD cable box. What is the BUILT-IN tuner for then. And, if i get a crappy box will it degrade the signal rather than if i went straight to the tv??
Does anyone know of a company that will provide sattelite tv with the sattelite facing north instead of south? I have an apartment and dont have southern acess.
Ok, so i have narrowed my choices down to these two sets.. I am having trouble deciding between the 2 and when i see them at stores i dont trust the settings. Can anyone chime in on one vs. the other or overall comments on either? I need some help! THANKS!!
Throw me some suggestions here, im not partial to plasma or LCD. I do like the look of plasma but i know each has its upsides and downsides. Looking for 42-50 inch screen for mostly TV and DVD.. No projectors please. THANKS!!
