    Red-Blue Color Swap in 720p

I'm actually connected via HDMI. It works on all DVDs, SWII was just an example. Called Panasonic, they suggested: 1. Swapping HDMI cables to see if the cable is bad (Dobut it since 1080i looks fine despite the macroblocking. 2. Swap HDMI ports on TV to see if the HDMI port is...

    Red-Blue Color Swap in 720p

I own a Panasonic 56" DLP (PT-56DLX75) and a Pansonic DVD player (DVD-S97S). So I put in Star Wars, Episode II, last night on 1080i, and I see horrible MB in the Palpatine office scene. Not only that, but when I switch to 720p, everything that is red is blue. Samuel Jackson's face is blue...

New Panny DLP - Need Help w/Minor Issues

Just purchased a Panasonic PT-56DLX75 DLP TV. I also have a progressive scan Toshiba SD-K741SU DVD player connected to the TV via component cables. Picture looks great, yet I'm seeing a few issues (nothing critical): 1. Playing the Star Wars Episode III and The Incredibles DVD, I'm still...

    Upconvert DVD Player Assistance Needed!

I'm willing to spend up to $300 on an upconverting DVD player. I have a Panasonic PT-56DLX75 56" DLP and a Yamaha RX-V800 AV Receiver (4-5 years old). I've heard good things about the Panasonic DVD-S97S and the Oppo DV971H. Any recommendations for the equipment I have? Oh...

    MonsterPower vs. Belkin PureAV

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but I'm willing to spend up to $200 on a surge protector. I searched online and found the 2 most popular brands are Belkin PureAV and MonsterPower. Anyone have information/experience on/with either of these?

56" or 61" DLP for 10.5 ft. viewing distance?

I'll be ordering the DirecTV HD DVR service, and the intent is to watch as much as possible in HD or on DVD. There will be some SD watching, though.

56" or 61" DLP for 10.5 ft. viewing distance?

My TV and couch is ~10.5 ft. away from each other. I'm planning on buying a 56" or 61" DLP. Which size is more appropriate? Obviously, the 61" is more money, but if I can get away with a 56", I'd rather do that. Anyone have experiences with this distance and set size?

    Panasonic DLP or LCD

John S, Why are you sold on RP LCD over DLP? You'd go for the screen size over the 2nd HDMI port? With the 2nd HDMI port, I could use an upconverting DVD player at some point in the future. Thoughts?

    Panasonic DLP or LCD

I'm thinking about getting one of the following two TVs: Panasonic 61" LCD (PT-61LCX65) Panasonic 56" DLP (PT-56DLX75) I'm torn between the 2 technologies. I know that the DLP has 2 HDMI slots, while the LCD only has one. Yet, the LCD (3LCD) is a larger screen size. I can get them...

    Panasonic TVs: Any Info/Reviews?

Thanks, John. Do you think I'd experience SDE if the normal viewing distance is 10.5 ft. away?

    Panasonic TVs: Any Info/Reviews?

I'm in the market to buy an RP HDTV, and was fluctuating b/w buying a DLP, HD-ILA, and LCD. After reading various threads in this forum, it looks like I'm going to stay clear of the HD-ILA product, as it seems to have many bulb issues. That leaves me with the choice between DLP and LCD...

    JBL EC20s

I would be running them as mains and surrounds. I currently have no other speakers at this time. I recently moved into a house that was wired by the previous owner for surround sound.

    JBL EC20s

Are these ceiling mountable? Currently, I have speaker wire coming out of four holes in my ceiling, so wall mounting is not an option.

    Drilling Holes in Speakers?

Following is what I got outta JBL in an online chat with them. I think I'm going to go to the local HT store, and have them explain where I should drill the holes. Ryan: Is there a safe place that I can drill holes in the back of the SCS160SI satellite speaker? This is for a ceiling mount...

    Drilling Holes in Speakers?

What are your thoughts on drilling holes in the back of speakers? Obviously, I wouldn't do this if I didn't need to. However, the JBL SCS160SI speaker system I just purchased needs to be mounted on the ceiling due to existing wiring, and the unthreaded mount point on the speakers are on the...
