I wouldn’t get your hopes up for the original YOGI’s ARK LARK version from THE SATURDAY SUPERSTAR MOVIE. Here is the description from the press release, “INCLUDES BONUS FEATURE: "YOGI'S ARK LARK" episodes from YOGI'S GANG (HD)”
I did not sleep for a week when the giant clam swallowed Robin. I was 7 years old at the time. I was very distraught and could not talk about anything else. Because it was a three parter, Parts 1 & 2 originally aired Wednesday and Thursday and we had to wait until the following Wednesday for...
I have seen this happen with people who enjoyed it as a kid but as they grew up the show lost its appeal. However, I have always enjoyed it and I respect your opinion Jayembee, but I will disagree. I watched the show debut on TV in 1966 and I have been enjoying it ever since. I totally like...
Here is some irony, Tony, that comes around full circle. When the Flintstones/WWE movie was released on Blu-ray, it had about three Flintstones episodes from Season 1 and Season 2 and those episodes were in standard definition as well. So, the feature presentation was in high definition and...
The WWE movie is very good. The story is A-typical Fred Flintstone at his rock best. The surprise to me on the Flintstones/WWE movie is that it was originally released in the Blu-ray format and DVD and the presentation in this set is the 480p definition, not the HD quality Blu-ray.
For BATMAN: TAS: The DVD's looked okay but kind of murky to me. The BR set is very top notch. The sound and the video is amazing and worth every penny.
Hanna-Barbera and Screen Gems had a distribution deal in place from 1957 to about 1974. Screen Gems helped sell and distribute H-B product. Both of the films HEY THERE IT'S YOGI BEAR and THE MAN CALLED FLINTSTONE were originally distributed by Columbia Pictures. When the distribution deal...
It was standards set by the studios. 65 episodes covers 13 weeks of material (13 weeks X 5 shows a week equals 65 episodes) or just over three months. The original STAR TREK made 79 episodes over three years from its network run on NBC and it was just enough for Paramount to syndicate the show...
This is the Flintstones 60th anniversary, debuting in 1960, so the anniversary Blu-ray set makes sense. Last year it was Scooby-Doo's 50th anniversary so the Scooby Blu-ray sets that came out made sense. I would be a lot more confident of a Yogi Bear Blu-ray set if it came from Warner Archive...
WHV released a single disc from the Huck box set, just the first disc, in a stand alone release a year after the box set was released. They have also released Spanish and French versions of either the box set or single discs around the world. My contention is that if it was such a poor selling...
I agree on Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies. It is mostly the same cartoons being re-released in new packaging with no rhyme or reason to how or why they are being repackaged. I thought PORKY PIG 101 was an interesting release but I thought they should have gone with Bugs Bunny instead because he...
I haven't posted in this thread for a while but here I go with a rant, a tirade, a fierce missive neven! I think the whole "high cost" of the Capitol Hi-Q music library is a hoax from WHV, along with the music rights issues mentioned for reasons for not putting out the rest of Huckleberry...
The Flintstones DVD sets that came out from 2003 to 2005 included the original teasers, audio tracks and the correct ending credits for all episodes for Seasons 3 through 6. The original end credits for Seasons 1 and 2 could not be found so a generic one was created by Earl Kress, the producer...
The other movie is The Flintstones and WWE Wrestling move that came out a few years ago. It was released on DVD and Bluray.

Thanks, Everyone, for all the tech information on discs and dis content, etc. I am learning something new here.
I agree with you. It is nice to see all the activity on H-B. It has been a while since we had this much excitement. Three releases in one month. With WALLY GATOR, I am glad to...
This could make the difference, Joe. I am swayed now that it really is a two-disc set. However, just to start an ugly rumor before release day, I wonder if these episodes are being presented in standard definition and not high definition. This could also explain the episode count on the disc...
I am totally in your corner on this, trust me. The only thing I can think of for it to be a two disc set is for WHV to make them dual-layer Blu-ray Discs and flipper discs where you have information on both sides of the disc. It is the only way it could happen. Also the lost episodes set could...
I am sure that somebody at WHV Press Room has their information wrong. It should be a 4 disc set. They can get 6 or 7 episodes on each disc plus they have the bonus features as well. WHV and WAC are notorious for getting 12 or 13 half hour shows on a Blu-ray disc so an hour show like THE NEW...
What do you mean you had to block him? He is entitled to his opinion just like everyone else. He has been a member for a long time and I appreciate Randy’s points of view, just as much as everyone else, whether I agree with them or not.
Wally Gator comes out June 25th from Warmer Archive. It is the complete cartoon collection of Wally; all 52 cartoons. No Touché or Lippy coming out at this time.
I understand the frustration. However, when Warner Home Video first started putting out POPEYE DVD's in 2007, they started out with a four-disc set and it did not sell well. Then they tried two different 2-disc sets of the black and white cartoons and they did not sell well either. The single...
