I know I'm bumping an extremely old thread but I just came across a version completely different than my DVD version. The end update clips is where the 2 versions vary the most. Here's some screenshots along with the two different endings...
I just installed the Blaupunkt St Louis model today. So far it's close to perfect. The display and file browsing is excellent. I connected a 20GB USB powered drive to the back of the head unit that I put away in my glove compt. The drive loads very quick and it doesnt even take a second when...
Blaupunkt makes a whole line of usb receivers for the US. The St Louis and Hamburg models are especially nice. I was going to buy one on Crutchfield but the rep said they arent out yet. http://www.blaupunkt.com/us/car_radios_41.asp
blaupunkt makes alot of them..heres one that looks good http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/queens.asp looks like they are only made overseas though. You can buy this head unit with a 40gb usb drive. Are the connections compatible (power, remote, etc.) with cars in the U.S.?
So basically the only way to figure out what the head units limits are is to bring the USB drive to the store and test it out then? Id get a HU with a USB input on the back of the head unit so i couldnt even do that.
id like to try that myself. I you talking about a normal hard drive or something like a USB flash drive because i didnt think they made flash drives over 2GB. If it is a regular hard drive, wouldnt it skip and damage the drive when going over bumps? Also, how would you connect it to power it up?
i'm actually looking at it now. Theres another one up there made by XOvision (never heard of either of these). Theres a really nice one I found that is made by Clarion . It has no moving parts (not even a CD player) and I would definitely get that one. However, none of these have enough pre amp...
I know of maybe one or 2 that are made (JVC UK model and a double din clarion). Anyone know of a single din sized that will read high capacity mem cards? I'm sick of mp3 on DVD ..they are wayyy too delicate and i'm constantly having to add new mp3 files to the discs. this would be MUCH more...
Yes everything was fine with the old monitor. It was a Proview 17" lcd (dont know the res.) S video can produce a 16:9 image...just not a High Def image.
Any help is appreciated as I've been messing with settings for hours and hours . I upgraded to a 22" widescreen PC monitor yesterday and since hooking it up the picture to my TV has changed. I have a NVidia Geforce video card with S Video going from the PC to a 42" Plasma. Both displays were...
hey i noticed alot of the HD programs will read DD 5.1 on my receiver but I'll only get sound coming from the 2 front speakers. Everything is configured and connected properly. Why does this happen??
The TV is a Panasoic TH-42PD50U . I know it does have a ATSC and QAM tuner. What I dont understand is what the difference ios between those tuners and a buillt in HD tuner.
Yeah the picture and sound are incredible. I'm watching shows I dont normally watch just for the HD. So far I just have Fox and NBC .. Imy TV tuner goes up to 9999 so to surf all of those channels would take forever.
is this a new law because i just recently found these 2 HD channels and they were very easy to find being that they were right after the normal broadcasted channels. Weird thing is, I cannot change the aspect ratio on my TV while watching these channels (not that I need to because they are...
I was unsure as to what section to post this so please move it if necessary. First off, I am using BASIC cable (cablevision). No box, no cable card. I have a 42" Panny plasma EDTV with the optical cable running from the output of my Tv into my 5.1 reciver. Anyway, I was flipping through channels...
so you think the audio quality this unit puts out will be worse than what I already have? My speakers arent all that great but i have a pretty decent receiver. I'm actually looking to just save some space. I'm looking to get a decent set of speakers (pref the same size that come with the...
I chose the Philips brand because it seemed like a great deal. Like I said...it states 250w pr ch amd it's under $200. Not really worried about the a mount of money I'll get on ebay really. Anyway ..."25 wpc"??? How can they advertise 250 if its only really 25?
My home theater consists of a Pioneer VSX D812 receiver (110 w per ch), a Philips DVP 642 DVD player (one that plays divx, etc), Kenwood KS-401HT speakers (the 2 front spkrs on space taking stands), and a decent Sony 120 W 12" sub. I was thinking of selling it all on eBay (except maybe the sub)...
Im looking for in dash head units with built in hard drives. The Sony and Pioneer units are pretty much what I'm looking for, but with a bigger hard drive. The Alpine HDA-5460 is the closest I;ve found to what I need, but it has no built in tuner. Anyones have any suggestions?
Will - Glad you like the TV as I'll probably buy it very soon. Id like to ask you a question if you dont mind....how many video inputs does it have (S video/composite/component) ?
