I have Axioms and are catered to the sound that I prefer. They are forward and very detailed speakers. They were exactly what I was looking for. I have never heard the Def Techs before.
I wish I can tell you :) I reset my receiver and from there started watching matrix rev and it just sounded really damn good. I love the way this sub blends in with movies and music. I'm really impressed.
Damn, this sub has impact. I'm going to start trying to place the sub around the room to get more sound next to me, but my whole damn house is shaking. Good stuff. I'll give you guys an update.

My room is 14x21x8 feet. I dont have a SPL meter. I tried the autoeq feature on my HK receiver and also have it set as normal. Pretty much no difference.
I just purchased a CS-Ultra and have a Crown 402 amplifier giving it about 400w and although the bass blends well with my music and movies this thing is not loud at all. Am I underpowering this thing? How many watts do I need?

I'm def looking at the S3 series. I do currently have a sub(which I will upgrade soon) for the low end. I'm wondering if the extra mid is really helping out the swan in the midrange department. What kind of amp do you recommend for the speakers?
