well, my main seating will be about 17 feet away, and still not sure on what size screen we will be getting. Kinda deciding on what projector i get first before deciding screen size. The closest anyone would be sitting would be about 10 feet away, thats with a packed room. Thanks for you reply.

i was in same boat at you, i decided i'm going to go with a projector! You can pick a very nice one up for half that price! If set on actual TV set, i was looking at either the 50'' sony WEGA or Hitachi 50'' LCD. Both looked great, and you can pick up for about 4000
