Does anyone else think GRAVITY is overrated?

Yup, found it silly. But then again I can't stand George Clooney so I may be biased.

    Your Twilight Time/MGM wishlist?

I'd love 2 titles and I could die happy. The Alamo and without a clue with Michael Caine.Sent from my Nexus 7

    Xbox360 Smartglass

Not at all impressed with it. It's just essentially unified remote for Xbox. More of a distracting curiosity than a useful product.

    Pick Enterprise BD Cover Art

Enterprise is a natural for blu ray, as it was originally shot in hd and the only star trek series that doesn't (didn't) need some kind of restoration. Sadly I found only the fourth season particularly interesting. Anymore than $150 for the whole show would be way too much.

2.35:1 vs 1.85:1 Home Theater Screen

Just my own 2¢ but at the moment a nice panoramic screen with projector is a bit out of my budget. I was thinking of getting a dark gray 1.78 screen as I play videogames and watch a lot of sports too. When prices fall ill look at getting a more purely cinematic setup.

    3 Zone Rear Seating Possible?

It seems like you have a lot of space in the room. Personally I would put the couch in line with the chairs and put some equipment or shelving in the space behind and then maybe take advantage to turn the setup into a 6.1 with a rear center channel. By the way, congrats on the house.

DVD Review HTF DVD REVIEW: Tropic Thunder: 2-Disc Director's Cut

Sweet, I caught this at Comic-con and then later in the theater. It's hilarious and probably the only movie I've ever found Jack Black to be really funny in. The whole thing that gets me though is Jay Baruchel, he's really blowing up big. I remember watching him and Elisha Cuthbert on Popular...

DVD Review HTF DVD REVIEW: How the West Was Won: Ultimate Collector's Edition

I just got my Blu Ray the other day. Overall I'm pleased with the image although the seems between the panels have definitely NOT been totally eliminated. There are some scenes here or there where they are most definitely visible. It seems to be WB didn't go all the way in their restoration. My...

DVD Review HTF DVD REVIEW: The Love Guru: Digital Copy Special Edition

I pretty much agree with everything you said, except this is the only way I'm going to get to see the Toronto Maple Leafs win anything, so for that, this movie gets a perfect 10 outta 10...lol

DVD Review HTF DVD REVIEW: How the West Was Won: Ultimate Collector's Edition

That sounds awesome. But with flight pricing being as high as it is, it actually might be cheaper to get the projector...lol Why am I chuckeling? :frowning:

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: The Adventures of Robin Hood (Highly Recommended)

Hmmmm...sounds exactly the same as the DVD set that I already own, save for the HD presentation. Since that's the only difference I think I'll save the $30 until I decide it's time for a projector and 100 inch screen.

DVD Review HTF DVD REVIEW: How the West Was Won: Ultimate Collector's Edition

Thanks to Brent for posting those screencaps - It's apparent that the join lines haven't been 100% removed in all shots, but i expected that since it seemed to me the quality of the 3 different panels had slightly different levels of deterioration over the years. It still looks phenomenal...

DVD Review HTF DVD REVIEW: How the West Was Won: Ultimate Collector's Edition

"How the West Was Won is unapologetically all about spectacle" Great Line! ;) Think we could get some screen shots. Everyone is curious about the join line removal. I can't wait to get my blu-ray copy.

How The West Was Won - Blu ray

The difference in price you're seeing is simply the fact that even though for almost 2 years our Canadian dollar has been worth near the same or more then the American dollar, the movie studios will not change their SRP's in Canada. I have no idea why you say the American Version would be more...

    American Dollar Coins

As a Canuk, take it from someone who uses Dollar coins all the time. Even though we switched back in 1987 I don't know ANYONE who doesn't miss the dollar bill. You find that with more and more coins in your pocket, not only do your pants get weighed down but at the end of the day you feel a lot...

Disney's True Life Adventures due December!

I'm torn about these. I love the collectability factor, but I find nature topics incredibly BORING. I guess I'll wait and see how my mood swings as the release draws closer. At anyrate, it's FANTASTIC to see Disney is continuing to cater to collector's.

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: Walk the Line

I just caught the movie myself last night. I picked up a copy of the Collector's Edition, although I havent played the second disc yet. Anyhow, it was outstanding. I was shocked that it wasn't nominated for best picture.

The Chronicles of Narnia - April 4th confirmed

Shane basically filled you in David, but yes...the disc content we previewed will be exactly the same as the US version. Only the packaging will likely differ. Actually, each feature came with a videocard infront of it that flashed for a split second that I think marked them as coming straight...

US release DVD VS Canadian release DVD

Sadly, the country is filled with all kinds of ridiculous and useless laws that do nothing to protect the choice of the consumer. That's why you can't directly order DirecTV, watch HBO, or why the quality of our home grown entertainment industry is mainly in the gutter. There's no competition...

US release DVD VS Canadian release DVD

Yup, no tax from a US site and no duty from amazon as they use a courier service. Plus with the exchange rate being so favourable, you'll get a better deal that way then you ever would in a store.
