hi Robert, that's a really good article on installing a port i think i'll try that. i know how to calculate square objects cu in and ft just not sure on driver maybe, ican find some displacement values on some other brand drivers with about the same dimentions as the dayton dvc 12" #295-185...

hi, i'm planning to use the dayton dvc 12" sub for my project. their catalogue shows box volume to be a little over 2.5 cu ft. the port they say should be 2"x5"x14.54 i asume, they are talking about building a rectangular shape port maybe, out of some extra mdf board am i correct on this? also...

hi Brian, i ran them both in WINISD PRO. the quatro, came up with 7cu. ft tuned to 20.49hz and the 295-130 8 ohm, came up to 5 cu. ft tuned to 22hz both vented using QB3 QUASI-BUTTERWORTH alignment 4" vent. the amp puts 150 watts into 8 ohms, and 240 watts into 4 ohms. hope this helps and...

hi patrick, and thanks for your help. i would rather front mount the port if my baffle will allow. if i remember right, my baffle will be about 23" square does it seem like that should be large enough for driver 15 7/8" dia. and 4" dual flared port without crowding anything to close together...
