    DVD Player or HTPC?

    Although my PC has an ATI card and a DVD burner I prefer to use my Sony DVD player through my AV system. MY PC is connected and I can display it on my AV system. I prefer using the Sony. Blowing up stuff (PC gaming)on the big screen is big fun though.:)

    PC to TV

    The ATI cards video output is specifically designed to interface with a standard TV/Monitor. The configuration in the ATI utilities is quite specific about using a TV. The actual connector (on my card) is an S-Video. It came with an adaptor for composite video.

    One of my PC's has an ATI card with a S-Video output. I run a S-Video cable(25ft.)from the S-Video output on the display card in my PC to a JVC s-100 passive video switcher. I also run an audio line from the Sound Blaster card to JVC. Blowing stuff up on the big screen with my ES panels...

    It looks really nice, but considering the state of radio these days............

    Fortunatly here in Phila. we have a very good real jazz station. WRTI 90.1. My old Acuphase T101 analog tuner sounds very good and is good enough to pick up Howard U. in DC when WRTI goes off the air.
