Max, ZP gives me the option to use NVDVD when setting up, but it's control panel only gives me the regular options for de-interlacing (ie. "smart, best available" for defaults). I don't have the VMR9 pixel adaptive option available. Does this depend on the version of NVDVD I'm using?
Hi Scott, Sorry that I'm being a moron about this, but I do appreciate your help. For one thing, I don't get a tray icon for Purevideo, I can only open a dialog box when I select it in ZP. No VMR9 pixel adaptive in the de-interlacing options, so I guess it's not working. You said I might...
I finally got around to installing Purevideo, and selected it in ZP, but I still get the same issues with VMR9, with or without ffdshow. Is there anything else I can do, other than getting another video card?
I forgot to mention that I'm actually using Descaler5. I don't think I have any options like that, but I'm not sure how to access them if I do. Also, WMP 10 says "DVD-Video playback graph has not been built yet" when I try to play a DVD. I ran Dxdiag and I have DirectX 9.0c...
I'm using FFdshow, but even without FFdshow, I still get tearing. FFdshow doesn't seem to be the problem, because with or without it, I still get tearing in VMR9. I have no idea what I should be doing differently. Can you suggest other video drivers I should use? Would Reclock make a difference...
The graphics card is a 6600GT, with Forceware 82.12 drivers. I can use VMR7 without any tearing, but if I use VMR9 (renderless of otherwise) I start to see this artifact, even with fullscreen exclusive enabled in filter control (it might even get worse with this option). I just wanted to see...
One question I did have would be about the soundcard. I currently have the DIGI96/8 PAD, which absolutely crushes my CDP in terms of 2 channel audio. Are there better alternatives out there, or can I continue to use the RME for 2 channel audio and pass the digital signal to my 47TX for decoding...
I'm basically looking to build a HTPC with the basic function of playing DVDs with a Sammy DLP as the display monitor. I have no intention of connecting this machine to the internet and have no interest in gaming. I also want to use the machine as an audio playback/storage device, ripping all my...
The problem with the redbook layer on the SACD is that it's been peak limited and dynamics have been maxed out--probably sounds good in the car but not in a decent home system. If you're sticking with redbook then try to find the original Japanese pressing. It's the only version I know of...
