I haven't looked in on this thread for a while now, since I'd pretty much made it known that I wouldn't be seeing this movie because Raimi was pressured by producers to put Venom in it. However, now that Raimi has made it absolutely crystal clear that Sandman is the without a doubt actual killer...
Exactly. Look, it's not as if they are springing something that is completely radical and unproven onto audiences. Galactus, visually and conceptually, has been an accepted and beloved classic for forty years as is. But even if it wasn't, Darth Vader had a "funny hat" back in 1977 but people...
Two pieces of bad news for this movie (for me anyway): 1) Lawrence Fishburne has been signed to provide the voice of the Silver Surfer. I think he is a terribly wooden actor, and his voice-over as the narrator of the TMNT movie was a mumbled monotone. He is totally unsuitable for the part of...
There is a new TV spot online here: http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=11660 I love the line: "Everywhere this thing goes, eight days later a planet dies." Putting the movie in a "countdown to doomsday" framework will add a great deal of excitement and tension to the plot.
Forgive me for quoting myself, but I just wanted to draw attention to the fact that in three short months, the Amazing Spider-Man TV series has gone from the 135th most requested show to the 122nd most requested show on http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/ -- that's an increase of approximately a...
A couple of new interviews with Michael Chiklis... Regarding his relationship with Alicia Masters, he states that: "There's a little bit more of the continuation of that. But in the following one, in the third one, there's really quite a substantial thing coming between them." Read more...
According to a recent Wizard interview, Screenwriter Don Payne says that movie obviously focuses more on the Silver Surfer than Galactus and that the Big G may not actually be explored as a character, but more as a force. Payne: “As far as Galactus goes, the essence will be the same,”...
Glad to see people are pumped for FF after seeing this teaser. :) I loved the first film and from the looks of this teaser, FF2 will have all the same great character elements as its predecessor only with fancier special FX, which I guess is important to moviegoers these days. Considering...
First pic of the Fantasticar... http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/...tasticar_x.htm I think it looks great! I especially like the way the write-up says how Tim Story rejected Flattery's original design concepts because they were "too aggressive" (Flattery had previously designed the...
I understand what you're saying but I think that the word "classic" is often used incorrectly. I recall some teens filing out of Spider-Man 2 saying "Man, that's a classic!" I think to earn the term "classic", something would have to have stood the test of time, for at least 30 or 40 years...
I just noticed on http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/ that Spider-Man is the 135th most requested show that isn't on DVD yet. That's not a bad ranking for a 30 year old show that only ran for 13 episodes! So, everyone here at HTF who wants to see this show should pop over to Gord's site, sign up...
Check out these clips from YouTube: http://youtube.com/results?search_qu...derman+hammond I really love the lush sax in the second theme music (incorrectly labelled as "Opening 1"). Spider-Man should always have a jazzy theme, like in the 60s cartoon. Elfman's Batmanesque theme just...
WB will no doubt miss out on releasing Batman this year but I'm sure they'll find a way to release this much-asked for show yet. I think there's a good chance of Spider-Man coming in 2007. Any word on this, Gord?
The demand for this show definitely seems to be there. It's a money maker in the waiting and so I'm sure it's just a matter of time. And - say - isn't 2007 the 30th anniversary of the show?
