HSU vs. Infinity vs Energy HELP!!

Thanks for all the help Chan, but I think I'll go with the Infinity 1100. The VT-12's center is kind of awkward, and the satellites have to tweeter. I know they produce "big sound" but I also want high sounds. I know Infinity is great at high sounds and I previously owned an infinity tss-750...

HSU vs. Infinity vs Energy HELP!!

Thanks Chan. After reading a review on all of these, I'm leaning towards the 1100. However, is the denon 1705 good enough to drive these speakers? I know that if I had a denon 38xx for example, it would sound alot better, but if the 1705 has what it takes I'll keep it. Any comments are...

HSU vs. Infinity vs Energy HELP!!

Im looking to buy a new set of speakers to acompany a denon 1705. Which one do you guys think is better: -Ventriloquist VT-12 with the STF1 sub -Infinity TSS-750 /(possibly TSS-1100 also) -Energy Act6 I know that the infinity 1100 is a bit more expensive than the rest of the speakers...

    DLP vs Lcos vs LCD

How far do the front projectors have to be to produce a big image? And if there's a lot of light in the room, like with the windows open in a sunny day, would the picture still be good? Also, how would the picture be if it was projected on a wall?

    DLP vs Lcos vs LCD

Wow. I didn't expect to get so many replies. Anyhoos, I don't want plasma because it's way too expensive for no reason besides saving space, and it also has the burn in problem. I also don't want crt because they don't get too big and they're heavy and bulky. The room size is not too big. In...

    Dolby Surround

I know Dolby Digital is the "real" surround sound, but is the sound really that much better compared to prologic?

    Dolby Surround

I knew DPLII was used to make stereo sources into surround sound, but I was wondering if the sound would come out better if using digital cable, instead of analog. Anyway, you answered my question. Thanks a lot

    Dolby Surround

I don't know if this is in the right place, but, does Dolby Prologic II work with analog cables. Would the sound be better if I used a digital optical cable instead? Thanks

    HT Setup.. Need Help !!

Since it is not drawn to scale, I think it is a hard to see how far the speakers would actually be from the listening position. Even though I like your idea, the surround speakers would be about 20ft, if not more from the listening position. Wouldn't that be too much?

    HT Setup.. Need Help !!

I don't know if any apartments have a fireplace, but my doesn't. I didn't label everything in the diagram because I thought the picture would become too crowdy. Anyways, John, that is not a fireplace, it is a heater, and next to it is an AC (or vise versa, because I don't know which one you...

The way the diagram shows is the way it currently set up. I want to know if it is fine the way it is or if there are some improvements I could make. Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't state it clearly.

    HT Setup.. Need Help !!

I posted a thread before asking help on how to set up my hometheater. Since it's very hard to suggest things without a diagram, and since you ppl asked for it, here it is. However, I must warn you that it is NOT drawn to scale, and it is a MERE EXAMPLE of how my living room is. Also keep in mind...

    HT Questions- System info

Thanks for the information Bob, but I'm not going to transform my home into a theater. A good receiver and good speakers properly placed are good enough for me. However, I have another question. Since my home theater is in my living room, which is "open" and is not a square or rectangle, how...

Thanks guys (gals too maybe? lol). I was wondering because I knew the subwoofer's sound waves would bounce off. But I guess it's kind of obvious lol.

    HT Questions- System info

Hey guys,I'm new to this forum and I would like to know a few things about my own HT system (may also apply to other systems). Do the sound waves of the Infinity TSS 750 satellite speakers (or maybe all systems) deflect off the walls? Thanks.
