Question: by optimizing for 1 position like that (say, me, in my chair on the left back wall), does that have too much of an impact on the other listeners?
I have a Yammie 5760. Front speakers in entertainment center placed on front wall, center on top of TV, surrounds in left and right corners of back wall and sub in left corner of front wall. Couch in center of right side wall and chairs in left and right of back wall. There is no seating in the...
Be careful when buying a Yammie from an unauthorized seller--Yammie will NOT honor the warranty. JR.com has the 5760 for a good price right now--and they are an authorized dealer.
My 5.1 speaker system will be shipped tomorrow. That's a good thing because I can't figure out the confusing Yammie manual (just purchased 5760) re how to hook up the speakers. Question: are the rear speakers in a 5.1 system hooked up as surround right and left (SR & SL) or as surround BACK...
Hey, guys, thank you! Getting fast help like this from Canada, Singapore and the Frigid North USA proves to me that we are all in this together! Mike:emoji_thumbsup:
I have 2 questions: 1. I am thinking about using RG6 with screw on RCA plugs to connect my sub (with a run of 10-12 feet). 2. Using the same type wiring to connect the HD tuner and DVD to the receiver (with runs of 3-5 feet). What do you think of this? Thanks for your help! Mike
Brad, the rears will go on top of existing end tables. Maybe not the best location, but WAF again. I have contemplated getting the 50's and putting them on top of the entertainment center--but WAF will likely kill that. I am going to BB in a few minutes to see if they have them (audition...
Yes, WAF is at work here. I do have the depth in the entertainment center for the 30's. I had been leaning toward the Rocket ELT, but at the current prices on JBL's, I have to consider them. I will also be buying the Yammie at the same time. Wonder if JR will give another discount for...
I am looking to get the most bang for my bucks. Here is what I am considering: E30's as front and rears (note: I would prefer the 50's, but they will not fit in my entertainment center) EC 35 for the center E250P sub I would drive these with a Yammie HTR 5760 What do you think...
Rob, you know that women don't settle for just 2%--102% is more like it. Wayne, that's the guideline I needed--thank you. BTW, I think I recall that you have the ELT package and a Yammie HTR 5760. At this point, I am leaning in that direction, but I am also strongly considering the Denon 2805...
There is a sliding door at the bottom of the remote (on the Sammy)--slide that open and push the "format" button until you get the size you want--"full" should do it. Hope this helps.
I am struggling with what to buy for my first HT system. I have seen posted elsewhere, and can't find that post again, some general guidelines on how to allocate one's budget dollars. The guidelines were stated in terms of X% for receiver, X% for speakers, X% for cables, etc. Any help you can...
