    Meaning of "Free Space"

    Can some one tell me what this means? This driver is used in 100litre cabinet using two large profiled reflex ports; naturally, this system descends to 32Hz at –3dB in free space! With a little help from the amplifier’s optimized response, this limit is pushed even lower. Thanks

    If I have all of the Thiel specs for my driver, how do I try to figure out what the Vd (displacement) might be. Is there a site that does this for you? Thanks
