bump so nobody knows? I love how my fronts sound in large, and I want to hear the extra thump with my sub! So theres no way to play stereo w/sub without setting the front speakers to small?
Just looking around.. Im getting a little worried. Im getting this huge urge to sell all my equipment and buy the B&W Nautlius 804 speakers and a nice two channel Amp.. I'm I nuts? I listened to them, and they sounded great.. but the looks.. omg they are gorgeous. My wife thinks my current...
I think you should go to a Klipsch Reference dealer and audition those speakers, there is a big difference in sound compared to the synergy line. Best Buy and other chain store are only allowed to carry the synergy line, if you liked the Klipsch sound, you have to audition the Reference line...
I've read the manual a couple of times, and still cant figure out what Filter does. It says that when you have the filter set to off that all speakers are set to large and the sub is on and set at +10dbs hot. The weird thing is that when I set the Filter on, and all my speakers to small, this is...
Rich H, i saw your comparison of S-video vs Component on your Plasma website, Why does the picture look clearer on S-video? Isnt component supposed to be better?
" The Denon DVD-2200 redbook sound is undynamic, flat, uninspiring. The DVD-2200's SACD sound quality sound is grainy, the sound quality is at the point between dead and alive. " wow.. and I just bought the Denon 2200 for listening to SACDs and watching DVDs.. I better not look at this...
I have not heard them with a Pioneer Receiver. I have the Reference 3 line hooked up to my Denon AVR3802 and I absolutely love them. The separation of instruments, vocals, etc.. is extremely clear. I love them. I give them a big :emoji_thumbsup: What line are you looking at?
"Accidents Despite having been carefully packed in substantial wooden crates, the SH-833 arrived damaged, including a bent isolation-transformer chassis, which is constructed not from sheet metal but from solid metal plates that range in thickness from 10mm to 50mm. There was more damage in...
Drew, thanks for the reply.. and I did get your email. ;) Question, What is a redbook cd? I'm a little confused.. I did a quick search "WHAT IS REDBOOK" and I couldn't come up with any answers.. Is it another format? like DVD-A or SACD? Grazie :emoji_thumbsup:
Thanks Joe! looking forward to getting it! its coming tomorrow!! :b "I can't imagine that there should be any interference issues, as when you are playing an SACD or DVD-A there is no bitstream coming down the digital cable. Unless an AVR was designed by bonobo monkeys (or perhaps even...
"I'm running a coax digital from my Denon DVD2200 for DD/DTS, and the FR1/FL1 analog for DVD-A/SACD. I change the input from digital to analog on my AVR as needed." Thats the way Im going to set up mine once it comes! I read on the manual that when using the Analog outputs you should disable...
So is the DAC what is used to decode de digital signal in DTS and DD? or is that only used for CD decoding? sorry I'm new at this stuff and confused. I realize it has a higher number...
I guess its this: Analog Devices 24 bit, 96 kHz high resolution DACs on all eight channels • Real 24 bit, 96 kHz Digital Interface Receiver Vs this: Built-in Dolby Digital, dts, DVD-Audio and discrete SACD decoders with 5.1 analog outputs • Burr-Brown 24-bit, 192-kHz DSD-1791 Audio DACs...
I only have a 5.1 speaker setup right now. How should I hook this up? I know that I have to use analog cabels for the SACD and the DVDA.. Now, for DVD movies etc? Which one is better for decoding? Should I just forget about the digital cable and just use the 6 Analog cables to the receiver...
and did you notice a big difference in the sound? I just bought the pink floyd SACD Dark Side of the moon.. and its awaiting the arrival of the DVD 2200! Now I need to get some cables! Where should I get my audio cables from? the 6 for the FR, FL, CR, BR, BL, SW speakers?
Hi Wayne! Thanks for your reply. I just thought, for some reason, that separate amps would provide "cleaner" power, thus making them sound better. btw, My name is Juan!! Not Ken! ;)
I have a Denon AVR-3802 with RF-3 Klipsch speakers.. If I get separate amps to drive these Speakers, instead of using the internal DENON receiver amp, will I hear a gigantic difference? Or are my speakers not good enough to take advantege of separate amps?
"I dont know why you would want to spend $1500 on an EDTV when you could get an HDTV for the same price.. " Show me where?? btw, I have an Denon ARV3802, should I use my internal decoder or de Denon DVD2200s?
Ok did it.. got a good deal on the DENON 2200.. Hopefully the refurb from e-cost is worth it! I just have a CRT, but I got it because its a universal player.. (want to play SACD and DVD-A) and in 1 yr I'm buying a nice plasma EDTV when they come down to the 1500-1700$ range.. so it should...
