    Infocus 4805...serious color issues

Hi all. I have a 4805 for almost a year now. I love it. No problems so far and quite a good projector for the price. I watch movies and play Xbox video games. I have NEVER noticed any color problems or discrepancies from true colors UNTIL I began playing GTA:San Andreas. (I know...I...

    InFocus 4805 ... please Explain

Hi there. I need some tech geeks on here to help me explain some thing about this projector. I would appreciate some LINKS to further explain the answer to my question. QUESTION: The 4805 is NOT an HD projector right? wrong? I am guessing (with my limited knowledge) it is not. NOT for...

    Using sound meter

Great Phil. Question for you. Before I "screw up" what the YPAO did for me, is there a way to know if the sound is at optimum performance? I guess I still need to buy an SPL meter and see what it measures. What am I looking for in the readout? How do I know if it is already as good as it can...

    Can you identify this effect?

Okay, I will try to explain this as well as possible. Those of you that know might find it easy to know what this is and if there is a solution. I have a Infocus 4805 and a Dalite screen. When there is a snow scene (like Hoth from ESB) or a water scene (Finding Nemo), I will get a...

DVI - how long is too long

BlueJeansCable sells DVI for 30, 40, and 50 feet. I am guessing its "okay" if they are selling those lengths. I dunno.

    SDE question ???

Is there any way besides reducing image size/moving further back to reduce the SDE. I am 13 ft back on a screen that is 6 feet wide. I see SDE in Nemo's eye, in Hoth (Empire SB), any lighter scenes...real annoying. BTW...I have the Infocus 4805.

DVI - how long is too long

Is there a length one should not exceed when using DVI? Is 20 feet too long (signal loss, loss of quality, etc...)?

    popping sound in subwoofer

I just recently put together my first HT system. I have a JBL 250 subwoofer. Last nite...while still testing out/tweaking system, I was scanning through the DVD menues in several DVDs. Every so often, there would be an audible "POP" from the sub. Not real loud...but alarming... What is it...

    JBL E20...speaker stand???

Nevermind...I just went with this: Most wood speaker stands are low budget, low performance designs, constructed of particle board, plywood, or low grade hardwoods. Sanus Systems Basic Foundations III are the first MDF speaker supports to combine great aesthetics and stability, with...

    JBL E20...speaker stand???

I have 4 JBL E20s. I understand they are bookshelf speakers. 3 of them sit nicely on bookshelves. BUT the left rear needs to be on a stand. Obviously there are not mounting pieces on the speaker. How would I go about FINDING a stand for this and MOUNTING this specific speaker? Thanks

    hiding speaker cables

what are common/popular ways to hide speaker cables as they are strung around the room? - I can't go through the ceiling. I am planning to go around the baseboard and tuck it in as much as possible BUT... The BlueJeansCable Belden is SO big, I really have to push to get it under the...

    What movie to use??

Thanks guys... BTW - Fifth Element was a totally obscure, weird movie. I couldn't get into it at all. What makes it so awesome? Why do HT members always use it to demo new players/speakers/receivers/etc ?

    Does BlueJeansCbl have this??

I need an M1 to DVI-D cable. If BJC has this, then either its not listed or called something else. This will be for my 4805 pj to my 1910 Denon.

    Which is easier to understand?

Which is less "techy" and user friendly? DVE or Avia? I am assuming they will accomplish the same thing. Probably everyone has their favorite but the end result (I am guessing) will be the same. Is one easier to grasp - step by step What I really need is DVE for Dummies...anyone have...
