Thinking about buying a digital receiver, like the HK DPR1001... are they any good, what's the difference between these and regular receivers? What do you guys think...? Any reliability issues?

Hey guys, This is a stupid question, but how can I configure my 5.1 Yamaha 5730 receiver to output the same stereo sound levels to all four of my speakers? The house we bought has 4 Boston Acoustics in-ceiling speakers (all the same size). We mostly listen to music only on these speakers...

Ok, I just want to make sure I made an OK decision... I just bought a refurbished H/K AVR 230 for $285 from Ebay (HK direct, so warranty is still good). This will be used to drive my Klipsch Synergy series (SF-3's, SC-3, SS-3's, and KSW-12). Will this receiver be good enough/sound alright???

The things I still don't understand is the disparity between wattage ratings. Harman Kardon, Marantz, and Denon's RMS ratings are always LOWER than Yamaha, Onkyo, and Sony's equivalently priced receivers. Does this say that Yammies, Onkyos, and Sonys over-state their power ratings? How do I...

So it sounds like you guys are recommending HK's...? I've heard HK has reliability issues - any experiences with this?

SethH - Perhaps you can clear my skepticism on refurbs...I've never bought any refurbs - any reason why I shouldn't? Full warranty from manufacturer, right?
