Samsung DVD- HD841 good, bad, ugly?

I recently purchased the Samsung HD841 DVD player, but after reading several reviews across the web I have started to doubt my purchase. Most reviews stated problems of bad picture with DVI output and sound cutting out during DTS soundtracks. If any of you happen to own this player can please...

    Passive and Powered?

Thank you all for your help, I kinda figured would not be the best idea, and the passive sub does have two sets of hook ups two in two out. For now I think I will stay with the powered sub which I'm very happy with (Acoustic Research 8" bandpass 120watts) and maybe add another powered sub down...

    Passive and Powered?

This might seem like a dumb question to most, but I will just throw it out there anyway..... I have a 8" powered sub that is currently hooked up to my Yamaha 5660 reciever via a subwoofer RCA cable, I also have a 15" passive sub that currently is just sitting around. Does it make any sense to...

What do you think of Best Buy?

I have shopped at many large consumer electronic stores and find that they are all pretty much the same. Same layout, generally the same uneducated staff, and sometimes very limited choices. Does that mean I hate the store? No, its very hard to find people who know what they are talking about...

    URGENT!! Onkyo vs H/K (~$500)

I have a Yamaha 5660 and love it! Which is now the 5760 and 5790. I was also looking at both HK and Onkyo. Onkyo 601 has an on screen menu which is nice. Both Onkyo and HK should have all the options you need along with plenty of power. Marantz is also a very nice choice I have only heard good...

    More reciver help please :sigh:

I agree!! I have the 5660 and I could not be happier. Althought I just got it two months ago not knowing that the 57's would be coming out. The 5660 is 90x6 which is more then enough for my room, it also sounds very good. The dialogue is clear as well as much of the surrounds. I compared it to...
