Thanks to all for the news about Passing Parade and Traveltalks. As for logging onto Facebook, not a member and have no plans to join. Backward of me, I know, but . . . .

It's not just that l'm too lazy to go through every page in this thread, but it seems simpler just to ask whether the folks at Warner Archive look here or anywhere else to find out what fans want. Put another way, is there a formalized way here or on their website to request titles?

As I said in one of my earlier posts regarding DS on Blu, I live in hope. But, as Andy said above, I'm not holding my breath. His points about public expectation of Blu meaning HD are valid. Most people don't accept that the quality of anything can only be enhanced so far and, as the saying...
Haven't seen House since I watched it in the theater. Of course, I remembered that characters had changed (Barnabas was more . . . thirsty), but I was delighted to find in watching this tonight that David was the same obnoxious little snot he was in the series.

Didn't the G in Maynard's middle name stand for Walter? I haven't seen this show in years, but I loved it, less s for Dobie than just about any of the supporting characters. It's where I found out who Doris Packer and Frank Faylen were (I love catching him in films like It's A...
Is there anywhere on the web that I can watch this trailer without the infernal buffering I must endure? I know that's because of my Internet connection, but that also explains why I can't abide streaming movies. Thanks!

I know Blu is the cat's meow and all, but I don't have it. So would someone out there compare the Criterion DVD with the earlier MGM release, which I have. Thanks! PatH
Of the hundreds I have I'll mention two: Goldsmith's The Wind and the Lion (he said once he thought he had a chance at the Oscar until he heard Williams's opening riff for Jaws) and Poledouris's Conan the Barbarian.

I'm reproducing below I sent to Linear Corporation. They do not have the device I need. The letter explains it but I just thought of some other ramifications that I'll address below: Greetings: I'm in a wheelchair and my company thoughtfully provided a remote control to open gates and doors...
Does this mean that after this three-year period, I would have to buy the movie again? If so, it sounds little better than extended DIVX. Seems to me that it would be simpler for Hollywood to get its Congressional lackeys to levy the death penalty on video pirates:D But then I'm old enough to...
This is a reply to the news that MPI plans to release the complete series for 4-6 hundred bucks. Fine. I've always been willing to pay that. But it's still going to take up a lot of shelf space, isn't it? Must be a pretty big coffin. Just release them in Blu-Ray with a disclaimer as to...
I don't remember the title, but it's a good movie. It's from the King Brothers and involves a little Mexican who raises a bull, then moves heaven and earth to prevent it from being killed in the arena. Like I said, a good movie. PatH Just found this is "The Brave One" and it's on DVD. This...
I've downloaded a couple of soundtracks from iTunes onto my Windows PC. Now, how do I get them onto CD so I can listen to them elsewhere? Thanks! PatH:blush:
I'm glad I bought this years back on DVD. I'm not into BD but no censorship--from Executive Decision to Zoolander--is acceptable to me and shouldn't be to anyone else, especially for political correctness. End of comment except to ask if the Paramount forced changes to Sum Of All Fears refer to...
Mark: That's true as to the audio. I checked with Audible.com and they are using the Walford translation. I sure would like to talk to Ms Robinson about that foreword. PatH
That's pretty much what I've found, though I didn't realize the extent of the abridgment nor the fact that Ms, Robinson had done a translation in addition to the foreword I knew about. As I've read the book, I'm well aware of the differences between book and movie. Now, what's this Collector's...
new English translation in 2002 by whom? And what Collector's Edition? I'm 62 and dug up the book right after I saw the movie for the first time in my teens. Bad or good, I love the movie and there is, of course, no question as to my regard for the novel. PatH
Mark, What I'm saying is that the novel was apparently abridged by the translator, not BOMC. Perhaps there's an "abridged by" notice in your copy. I can't lay hands on mine. In any case, I'm sure you have everything that was available for any other US reader. PatH
I posted this in After Hours or somewhere at HTF but maybe all the fans here will have other info. I have an old copy of the book around here somewhere that I read decades ago. I started looking for an ebook version (there's not, legally, though you can get it in PDF, but in this process, I...
