is there any one who knows how to calibrate an MT-800 toshiba or 7205 infocus. I really don't want to pay $1000.00 to have someone come set all my levels in 30 min.
I was just looking on another site and they had a shoot out between MYhtpc,Snapstream,Sage and Showshifter. now the only problem they had with showshifter was it did'nt have an integrated EPG. now be cause I'm new to all this what is EPG and do I need it. Or do any of you have a better answer...
this is my second post today and I probably should'nt ask this due to all the varying views, but here goes. I now have a 5.1 setup that is working exceptionally well considering my cheap $100.00 receiver. however I will be up grading and after reviewing the dolby site I believe for proper...
I have an MTX sub about 4 yrs old I want to know proper set up. it has a hi output and a regular input area with a cross over dial with range of 40Hz to 150Hz and a front volume control. I have hooked up both ways but I am always messing with the bass for proper bass control any help would be...
ok I have a dual purpose room. Billiard and HT the dimensions are 35'wide x 17.5 deep. I heard proper minimum distance for rear surrounds is 3.3' or 1 meter from seating. I have matched plipsch speakers with the dipole surrounds. now my problem is my HT area is 10'wide x 17.5' deep and with...
Ok heres my dilemma. I have a dual purpose room, billiard and HT. the dimensions are 35'x17.5' basically a rectangle. Now the area I have set aside for the HT is 10'wide x 17.5'deep. I have a matched klipch 5.1 set up rears are bi pole surrounds. now I have heard that the proper minimum...
I just found out about HTPC 2 day's ago and I like what I hear as far as video playback and scaling. but my question is if I go this route. Do I still need an AVR. Or Will the PC properly set up, handle all video and audio decoding. Thanks for any help.
I saw the post on HTPCs and I am very interested. My questions are/ #1 what is the max distances the projector can be from the pc. #2 can I run my cable through the pc for scaling. and last, what is the best video card to use for HT use
OK I'm looking to up grade receivers. every one seems to like 7.1 but almost all the dvd's i have rented, and this is many. most only have 5.1 sound as an audio option. so my question is, is it worth the additional cost for an occasional thx format dvd, or should I just wire for 7.1 and wait...
is there a video scaler out there for under 2k that will out perform the scalers that come in the runco cl710 or sharp 12k. or would I have to go to the 3or4k range to see a significant difference.
is there a better video scaler for under 2k, than the one that would come in a runco cl710 or sharp 12k. or would you need to spend 3to5k to get a better picture than what these projectors would produce with quality calibration.
I have been doing a lot of home work and have narrowed it down to 3. The Runco710 have seen a demo very impressed. The Sharp XV-Z12000 read great things about this one, but can't find any to demo. The BenQ8700 heard that it is the same machine as the runco for half the price, if so does that...
I am trying to decide which front projector is best over all and cannot get any comparison results. My preferences are the SharpXV-Z12000 heard good things. the Runco 710 have seen demo very impressed. the BenQ8700 which I have heard is exactly the same as the runco, but 1/2 the price. any...
