some were mentioned already, but my favorites are: NIN-AATCHB Alice in Chains-Unplugged Steve Vai-Live in Astoria Joe Satriani-Live in San Fransisco Pink Floyd-Pulse Pixies-Wave of Mutilation(videos and a london concert from 90-ish) Led Zepplin-the 2 disc live set Queensryche-Operation...
i use that service, which is actually a division of bmg, i believe. i like it. liked it even better when they were 4.99 each. double cd's are usually 9.99 or 11.99, and they even have some sacd's and dual discs for 5.99. i think you can get all the bob dylans and elton johns and eric clapton...
Be sure to check to see if Josh is playing with them, he played on the album but did not tour with them when i saw them in May... I thought their show was decent, peaches is interesting, if your familiar with her, they might be worth 18, if you dont know/like peaches, would be hard to say. we...
I saw the nin/bauhaus/peaches show in milwaukee on 7/2, Row 8 dead center. I'd agree with John on all accounts. the NIN stage show was impressive. They did Final Solution with peter murphy at my show. i'd have rather seen dead souls, but i'm not complaining. we also got get down make love which...
White Stripes a few months before DeStijl came out at empty bottle in chicago, about 200 people if it had sold out, which i dont think it did. VonBondies touring with White stripes before they got kinda big. Sugar Ray, before Fly was released. Everclear before santa monica was...
yes they have a new singer. possibly even different singers for european tour and us. i think i read the guy wasnt confirmed for both legs? jerry's solo tours were good, so i can't imagine this will be bad. i wish i could have got tix for chicago show, gone in like 2 minutes.
90-92 had both Facelift and Dirt, and I think Sap too. Plus NIN's Broken, Ministry's A mind is... and Psalm 69. Smashing Pumkins Gish and Siamese Dream. Lots of good stuff from 90-94, my high school years.
Andrew, does the album "beat you over the head" with the political(anti-bush) message? I dont mind a message, but the Mole wore tiresome very quickly for me for that reason. I'm hoping this is less in your face about it, ive read some positive reviews about it.
some of my favorite openers, but were odd pairings i thought or never heard of before hand: Marilyn Manson opened for NIN Prick opened for NIN/Bowie Course of Empire opened for Machines of Loving Grace Fishbone opened for Biohazard My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult opened for Ministry...
I didn't see any single discs of the talking heads dual discs when i was there and saw the boxset, but doesnt mean they are not out there? I've been real happy with the discs i've had time to listen to thus far. good music, good sound.
will is right, forgot about that one and it's probably my favorite one of all them. direstraits brothers in arm sounds great also. miles davis kind of blue, also.
it appears there is a uk only deluxe edition, it appears to be a hybrid sacd, with seperate dvd(containing dts and dd5.1 mixes). i've seen only a couple foreign websites that do list the sacd as 5.1. i havent been able to find if it is ntsc of pal for the dvd? i'd order the import if it will...
Thanks Steve Y, I have several DualDiscs and all play fine in the player i use, so i'm not to concerned but a good point. I think i may have to order these from amazon.:D
I was just at Best Buy and saw a box set of all 8 studio albums for $149, dual discs with advanced resolution surround, dolby digital surround, and stereo. did anyone know about this? does anyone know if the discs will be released seperately?
old school what? rap, metal, motown... if they like country music i probably can't be much help. but any kind of song that you commonly hear people do drunk karaoke too, will probably go over good.
i'm not a big fan of the genre, but I do like stuff by the Orb, Meatbeat Manifesto and Josh Wink. for something kind of different you may want to try Cornelius, guy out of japan, he has 2 discs out, kind of techno-y in a sample kind of way, not so much a boom-boom kind of way. the album Point...
