Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some reasonable advice on what to do concerning a deal I'm able to get.
I currently have a 5.0 setup consisting of Elemental Designs (3) a6 5t5 and (2) a3 5tc (link to product - http://www.edesignaudio.com/index.php?cPath=2_42) which I find to be satisfying in...
Looking to buy a used ep-2500, I live in Lancaster, PA and State College, PA so I'm good for a local pickup within some distance of those places but other than that I'm willing to pay for shipping to get it here.
So I bought a 15" TC-2000 about a year and a half ago and built a very nice 5 cubic foot, sealed enclosure for it with a 1300w plate amp from elemental designs. I enjoyed my set up thoroughly (although a slightly larger ported box always was in the back of my head) and never had any problems...
So my tv has two component inputs, I was using one for my ps3 and one for my cable box. The aftermarket cable I purchased from wal-mart to hook up the ps3 to the tv was expensive and incredibly cheaply made. It was the only one they had so I bought it there and then. One month down the road I am...
Hi everyone, I just got my 15" TC-2000 in the mail today and I cant wait to get started building a box and getting this thing powered up. I'm going to be using a 1000w plate amp from parts express. I've never built a box before and could use some help getting started. I am trying to go for a box...
Thanks for the advice and link Robert, I'll probably end up with that XTI 4000. I saw them for around $800 shipped from power sellers on ebay, know of any other good websites to order from?
yeah that seems great for my application, but it says its built for portable PA systems. The amp will give real good clean sound for a subwoofer of that caliber?
I plan on purchasing an LMS5400 for an upcoming home theater project, and I am looking to give it 2-3k watts. I can either have a 1-ohm or 4-ohm load and looking to spend $1000-$1500 on the amplifier. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
So I've been a bit out of the home theater loop for quite some time now. I moved to England for 4 years and now that I am returning to the US (the land of large homes and cheap electronics) I am trying to get started peicing together a new sound system. So I need some advice and guidance because...
Ok, so I got the seinheiser hd600's with a nice headphone amp... and I have no idea where to plug it into. I already plugged my headphones into the amplifier, and have a pair of RCA's running from the headphone amp up to my reciever. I just dont know where to plug it in. I just want to be...
if you just want it to sound good and get loud from 20-30' away, you should make a box to fit like 6 or 8 moderatly priced 6x9's. thatd be pretty damn sweet :D :D :D
no no no, not saying all 10" are the same... far from it. just saying a 10" sub with moderate power and moderate excursion is most likely all he is looking for.
yeah but your missing the point, he doesnt want a big sub, I am trying to reccomend a sub for him that fits his needs. The pheonix gold ti's are very good subs, dont get my wrong, but they also like large boxes, and he just wants a good SQ sub, and the O has exactly that
whats your price range? do you already have a cd player in your car with a sub pre out? how many watts rms (some lower end car audio companies rate all their stuff in peak power)
speak english next time I never said it was their top of the line sub. The 15A will outdisplace the w7. The w7 does have more xmax by a few mm, but because the 15A has more SD, that gives it more displacement. I am not dissing the W7's in anyway, they are truly incredible. They do require...
the name brands mentioned above are excellent, but doesn't mean its the best out there. Most of the time you are paying extra $$$ for the name. You will love the tangband subwoofer, but another excellent small box sub is the ED (elemental designs) O series subwoofers. They are specifcally meant...
I run the kappa perfects, they sound good for car speakers, but I prefer the sound of my polk LSi9's better in my home stereo. Look into the CDT classic series, they will even outdue the kappa perfects.
I agree, JL subs are good, but for the money there is SO much better. the ED O series has sound quality just as good as a W7, but will lack in SPL, however, you can buy about 4 12 O's for the price of one 13W7 which would give you just as good sound quality, and MUCH more output. It really...
I sell that at circuit city (:frowning: ) and I lead people over to that above the sonys. good starter system, the sub is decent, but if you would decide to get that, upgrade the speaker wire. They give you fishing line.
that looks very very nice. I have a headphone input on my HK stereo reciever. I take it that won't amplify it as well as that grado will? I am looking at the Sennheiser HD650's, and know they they neew some kind of amplifier.
