Both the 7300 and 7300ose list "Massive Energy Power Supply, Huge EL Transformer". Does the new 7400 have these EL transfomers also or are they the same that is on the SR6400??

Any thoughts on which of these 2 receivers will have more clean/true power for HT usage? Price is about the same. I,m less concerned with features, more with which will produce the better sound.

When you guys say the receiver runs hot, how long does it take to get hot?? I have the 6400 and have not noticed any problems. However, I think I will be trading up to the 7400 since it isnt a huge cost difference. Thanks

Scott, I used to have the Onyko 575 model (75 watts I think) and i was easily in the 48-55 range on the volume dial for movies. I was concerned with this at first but then relized that was normal.

Joshua, from reading previous posts on the Axioms, it appears that the Axioms would be much brighter than the Swans. So I would consider that in your decision making process and decide if you would like more of a bright sounding speaker or more neutral like the Swans.

Stephen, one more question. I agree with your comment on "REAL POWER". Any way of knowing if which has more real power, the Denon 3803 or the Marantz 6400?? Thanks I was looking hard at the 3803 since the price may drop with the new 3805 coming out.

Stephen, I agree with your comments. However, I,m not concerned so much with the extras that the 6400 doesnt have as pretty much I only run a DVD player out of the receiver. Marantz lists the 6400 as "high performance, high power" receiver (for example they do not use this language on the 5400...

JimIroc is correct. I found that 6th is an authorized dealer for their retail stores but not over the internet. Anyway, I like the H/K alot but given some quality issues, it seems to be a risk to order over the internet. Oh well back to either the Denon 2803, Yam 1400 or Marantz 6400.

I called and they claim to be an authorized dealer as their website claims. 14 day return policy however they charge a 15% restock fee if you return for other then defects.
