Star Wars Ep. III CD Soundtrack + bonus DVD!

Anyone else think that "Anakin's Betrayal" sounded a bit like the refrain from "Into the West" from LOTR:ROTK?

Will Infocus release an HD DLP intro PJ

I'm not 100% against LCD, but DLP has always had more HT followers than LCD. I've simply heard better things about DLP. I guess I'm wondering what makes a company decide to choose one over the other...what went into the decision to make the 5000 an LCD instead of a DLP?

Will Infocus release an HD DLP intro PJ

If I understad correctly, the 4805 is awesome but not true hi-def. The 5000 is hi def but not DLP. Any chance they'll have a sub-$2000 DLP Hi-Def projector soon? 'Cause that's what I'd buy!

is it possible for home speakers to sound as good as the theater?

Hey, Eric, I hear that there's an awesome one-screen theater in Hoopston (or Hoopeville or something) over by the Illinois/Iowa border, about 45 mintues from Champagne. I never got the chance to go, but I hear it's nice.

Carpet Crawlers by Peter G and Phil C

Strange question for this forum, maybe... My friend gave me an .mp3 years ago. It's Carpet Crawlers but Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins. Both are singing on it. When I recently pulled it into iTunes, it said it was from 1999. Anybody know what album this was from? Some reunion disc? Thanks!

    Aspect ratios and projectors

Hi, all, I'm new to the world of projectors, and I'm just curious as to what happens in the following situations. Assuming a 16:9 screen, please help me fill in the blanks: 1:1.78 animorphic: Fills the whole screen 1:1.78 non-animorphic: XXXXXX 1:2.35 animorphic: Fills the screen vertically...

worth it? projector & small screen size

Hi, guys, pretty new, so could you explain sde and rbe? Also, if you can get an 100" screen at 11' with the Z1 and a 72" screen at 11' with the 4805, what are you giving up when a projector has a greater throw ratio? Is throw ratio listed on a projector's features?

Pulling the trigger on an Infocus 4805

A question about noise for you 4805 users... Here's what I'd do if I bought it today...if I mount it 11.1 feet back in the room (the farthest it can go back because of a drop AC conduct) from a 7.5" ceiling, then I get a 72" inch screen (great for me since I've only currently got a 30"...

    Basic questions about projectors

Howdy, folks, have been nosing around here and projectorcentral, and still have a few questions that I hope you can answer for me. 1) When they say that a projector runs at 36 db, is that a sound reading right next to the projector? Or from a set distance away? If a projector is four feet...

    Why 10", 12", 15" and 18" inch subs?

Thanks, guys, live and learn. I guess it once again comes down mostly to economics. Now, why are there only 5 guages of shotgun shells...10, 12, 16, 20, and 410? :)

    Why 10", 12", 15" and 18" inch subs?

Just curious...why doesn't anyone ever boast a 13.5" inch sub, or a 16.5"? Or 19" Is there something about the physics of a speaker which makes these sizes impossible? Or are companies just rounding up and down?

    Shortest time between remakes

So what’s the shortest time between remakes? Off the top of my head I’d have to say Manhunter (1986) and Red Dragon (2002), 16 years difference. Two rules: no foreign to domestic remakes (Ringu, The Ring) and no updates by the same artists (Evil Dead, Evil Dead II). Feel free to mention them...

    DVD covers that contain spoilers.

On the back cover of Shawshank Redemption, it says that SPOILER he's wrongfully accused. When I saw the movie, I wasn't sure if he murdered his wife or not.

Specs for Aladdin Platinum Edition Annouced - Should we start emailing Disney now?

Why is that? I'd think it would be easier since sometimes backgrounds are static and you're working with a limited color pallette (pre-digital)

    Getting rid of basement stink...

When we moved into our house, the basement was already professionally finished. But every so often the "basement smell" is very noticable...you know, musty. So what's the best/simplest/cheapest way to get rid of basement stink? S

38 FOOT CEILINGS? Is that a typo, or are you in a log cabin? Wow. Anyway, if you can listen to them in your area, I'm a fan of Mirage OM series. They're great with music and could fill a large room.

    Wolverine speakers...ever heard of them?

A few years ago I bought a speaker cabinet. I thought it was old, but when I opened it up it had a very new look to it...a custom job, I think (good thing I only spent two bucks on it!) . Inside was a pewter/copper-looking speaker. It looks good, but has anyone ever head of Wolverine speakers in...

    Denon 3802 display in 6.1 (3803 too?)

Whenever I play DTS-ES, the display panel always says "DTS ES." But whenever I play a movie with DD-EX, the display is still "Dolby D." How do I know that it's picking up on the EX and not just giving me the normal 5.1? Do I need to switch it over so that the display says "6.1" or is that...

Has anyone ever carved a sub out of solid stone?

Now this may just be a mental exercise, but as I was washing my marble rolling pin this morning (and thinking about SVS cylinders) I was wondering if anyone (in the world that you know of) has ever carved a sub enclosure out of stone, either for box or cylinder. What would the advantages be...

Why doesn't anyone ever mention Bag End

"I can look up the exact issues of AUDIO those two reviews were in if you'd like?" Thanks, but no need, really. If I did that I'd just be making my friend feel bad if I get an SVS 16-46 PC+... by the way, at 16 hz how many db does a 16-46 measure? I'd always envied the sub, but now that I...
