Any update on Mutiny on the Bounty?

You know i was just thinking of somthing kind of funny. Brando caught a lot of flack for his performance in that film but I thought it was great. I also loved the diffrent take they had for the ending. It was shown on Turner classic movies last year, I really wish we could get a high deff...

Computer restarts when playing RTS Games

I checked my CPU usage and it is at 100% whenever I play a Game, My wife decided to exit out of MSN messenger and Qicktime out of the Toolbar and then I was able to play. Would I be able to allocate memory or somthing so that my usage is not at 100% when I load a game. Also when I am not playing...

    NetFlix Feedback

:) That is a very, very, interesting idea about the survey. I will try that too. Somtimes I have to cancel my membership for a few days if I am running short between payday. Last time I canceled I selected slow turn around as my reason for cancel. Ever since I restarted the throttle BS has...

    Netflix: An ongoing log

I am so upset :frowning: because I have been a netflix member since I think 2000. I have been one of their biggest advocates over the past few years selling the service to all my friends, co-workers and even random strangers on the street. Last year I was on unemployment for a few months after a...

Great review, you have some insight on a film I have seen a million times yet never picked up on myself. This is another notch in my James Stewart DVD collection. Thank you Fox.

    Request for Reviews

Two films that have been on many a wish list are appearing this week on DVD at last. If anyone can I would much like to see a review of both titles: Call Northside 777 (helping me to complete my dream of owning every single Stewart film on DVD) Sword of Doom (first Samurai movie I ever...

Miramax Cofounders Discuss Split with Disney

I was concerned with Disney Owning the Library, it is bad enough that we had to buy 2 versions of all the Miramax DVD's I would hate to start seeing non-OAR releases. (gosh I just turned this into a DVD forum discussion, shit I never get it right)

Directors Your Favorite Historical Movie On DVD

If I get Gettysburg should I bother with Gods and Generals as well or just the first one? Were these the only two made in this series? I have seen Aguirre in the foreign section since I was in High School but I have no idea what it is about.

Questions about Ric Burns "New York"?

This documentary is one of the if not the most important documentary I have ever seen in my life. I say this as an American who has never wished to visit New York, nor had I particularly been interested in its history. The story of New York is the story of America packed into one great city...

    The Simpsons 1/16: Midnight RX

I was just on my way here to make a post with this same exact title. This season has been a big BIG surprise. I had been in the camp that called for and end to the series a few seasons ago but with episodes like tonights I have to change my mind. It seems like an episode that could have been...

*** Official MEET THE FOCKERS Discussion Thread

I think a movie like this is more steeped in Pop culture than in actual quality. The movie is fun in a crowded theater but maybee not so great for repeat veiwings as the first. Meet the Fockers is a Neil Simon movie with out the heart or sublelty. It would have been much more original if...

Ok Disney, enough already, we get it!

There was a tread a while back about movie cliches and I think we can start a whole new category for trailer cliches. Since Andy Warhol's soup cans even elitist can recognize art in advertising and it saddens me when they can not come up with an original idea. Remember the trailer for Toys, it...

Ok Disney, enough already, we get it!

My point is that every single trailer had the same "clever" premise to it. I don't know about you guys but if some guy came up to me and told me the same "guy walks into a bar" joke three times only changing the names of the characters, I'd punch him in the face. It is sad that marketers...

Ok Disney, enough already, we get it!

So I went to see national treasure last night and I really was not bothered by it problems it had a lot of fun moments (Is it me or is this a thinly veiled re-write of Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade? Certain scenes are almost carbon copies.). What bothered me were the three trailers that...

    Movie myths

I can see it now, in the next presidential election the country will be divided between those who shave with and those who shave against the grain. Speaking of space, how 'bout star wars? Would you really hear all those noises in space? Would you hear the pew pew of the lazer blasts...

    Movie myths

Hot Water to Shave: I think Mr. Blandings may be one but a I know a lot of movies that show a man unable to shave because there is no Hot Water available and we are supposed to sympathize with his plight. It is fact horrible for your skin to shave with Hot water (that is cleaning the razor...

    __Sean Bean - Underrated Actor__

Yes, I agree. I always hated him because of the bad guys he is able to play so well. After watching all the Sharpe series I find myself disapointed that he has not been the lead in more American movies. And it is really interesting that Viggo and he ended up togther since they both have...

Thank you for that Michael. At least I can rest assured that Harper was a stand up guy. I think Cromwell could have some cool adventure stories with his daughter being that she was born of two tough cookies.

    __Sean Bean - Underrated Actor__

First off I want to congratulate Todd Terwilliger for having one of the coolest sigs ever from one of the coolest movies ever! Second I want to know if someone will help me out with a question about the story in Sharpe. I just finished the last of the 14 discs and I am a little...
