kevitra, Is this still available? Richard, I am here in Springfield also. Maybe we could get together sometime. I'm running a SVS 20-39 PC+, how about you? [email protected]
I have a 20-39 PC+ so I know what you mean about the size. I bought mine from Ed in New York and it made the trip fine. SVS has great shipping boxes (unless UPS goes nuts!)This one would be for my brother. If you do not find a local buyer, please let me know and maybe we can work out a deal. I...
I may be interested in this for a friend. How much are the bulbs, and how long do they usually last? Is a ceiling mount included as well? This is a little more than he is looking to spend, but I think it would work well for him. I'll let you know. Thanks-Greg PS- How far from STL are you?
I am a little let down myself. Chris, I found out how to fix the guide. Go to the Dish site and do a troubleshoot search. There is a fix there: WTH here's a link. Click on the 2nd one under Video. http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/c...g/index.shtml#
I have some MS cables and the are VERY well made. There is a seller on e-bay that has some awesome deals on the MS cables. I would suggest going with Component for video and Digital Coax for audio (if your player and TV support these formats). My .02. Good luck- Greg
Yes Charlie, I've had the same problem with the guide. I don't like the zoom modes either. Hopefully, they will upgrade the firmware to fix these bugs.
I just got the Dish 811 and I wanted to hear from other 811 owners their impressions. The HD looks awesome, but there are so few stations. It seems my 301 did a better job with my TV's stretch mode. The zoom modes really cut off the picture. Further, I have found it difficult to operate. What...
Thanks for the reply John. I want to do a ISF Cal., but money is tight and since I use my 811 for all TV, could I just skip the 480i input and save that $ since it upconverts? Thanks again- Greg
Does my new dish 811 upconvert everything to 1080i? If this is true, then do I only need to calibrate my 1080i and 480p inputs, or do I still need to do 480i? TIA-Greg
If it was me, I'd would look for a pair of used RT35i's (music)for the rear or F/X 300i's (HT)(I use 3 RT25's and they do great!). I think the 55's would be overkill. JMHO. Surrounds are designed (and processed by your AVR) to give effect, do as a direct source. Good luck- Greg
Mike, I have the 55's & 400 also. Polk did not replace the 55i when the went to the RTiX line. They are great speakers, and well respected. IMHO, I would recommend finding some used bipole/dipoles on e-bay or here. They are going to be better for surround duty, and much easier to place! Try...
Wow, information overload. Thanks for the input. MikeEL, maybe we could get together sometime for calibration trials. My wife and I are going to Columbia for the MU/KU game this weekend. Maybe next weekend? I'll supply good food! Let me know. Thanks- Greg
