Wasn't there a separate command to disable to auto circuit protection on that guy? So funny I was just about to post something about the same receiver.
Anyway, when mine was shutting down all the time there was this auto protection circuit malfunctioning and making mine shut down all the...
Yeah Im not sure If this is the same issue but I got some banana plugs and I think I will open it up to see If there is dust in there, Its way out of warranty so... Doesnt look like anyone had any issue disabling that protection but I have kids and dont need them getting shocked and what not...
Does this code actually disable protection forever on the unit? In my case the unit turns off during usage but I have had the power go out on it, dont remember the flashing MCACC. I unplug it and plug it back in and it comes right back.
Actually, I was wrong about the 4 ohm speakerm its 8. The stats on the webpage was wrong. I see there is a fix by doing Enter + Video2 for 2 seconds but I am trying to find out exactly what that does and If it would even help me at all.
Hate to bump this but it is still an issue. I just discovered one of my speakers out of 7 is 4 ohms. It had never mattered before but still worth noting what speakers I have: 2 X Swans 5.1PF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS System series : Home Theatre series System Description : 4th-order 3-way...
Right so it is very unlikely that a lose speaker wire (on the speaker itself) is the problem. Now the receiver is in an entertainment center with a shelf on top but a: It has never done this b: It is now frequent c: the entire receiver is exposed (I cut the back out of the entertainment...
I have not reset it however whenever it shuts down, it is completely wiped out (just like a reset) That is a weird symptom. I have never seen a short do that. Even overheating wouldn't do that.
Hmm, I had one of my rear speaker tip over a few weeks ago. I checked the back of that speaker and the wire was loose. Could that cause this? The speaker works fine, really didnt take a huge hit. My kid tipped it over. Its a swan diva 2.1, built like a tank.
I have had this receiver since it came out with no problems. I have it in an entertainment center with the entire back exposed for ventilation. In the last 2 days, for no reason, the thing shuts off during playback. Its not immediate, maybe after 30 minutes or so. I plug it back in the first...
Its in the service menu, you can turn it off but when you turn the setting off and back on the overscan setting reverts back to on. On the 88 series, its stays off. The main thing is when you go into the service menu, all your user setting go back to factory so its a macro that avoids the power...
As some of you know, you can turn overscan off in the service menu on the Samsung 87 series DLP's. The problem is, it doesnt stick. There is a code given to ISF calibrators to get into the service menu without having to turn the set off (therefore the settings dont reset) Someone on another...
On other forums, it has been suggested that carpet on top of conrete would be the best for sound quality. hmmm. I could build a stage for the TV and then a seating stage with bass shakers. If I cant swing that (trying to get swan dipoles to complete my 7.1) then I can live with the HSU on...
Hi everyone, In my new house I will be building a new HT room in the basement. I have an HSU vtf3 and I love base. It will be a smaller size, 13x17 or so. I am a new DIY so I have done some reading which of course confused me even more. Option 1: 2x4 sleeper subfloor. carpeted Option 2...
Hey everyone, Im finishing a basement and I can partition a room for a dedicated theater room. I have a 7.1(swans + HSU VTF3) and I am planning on a 50 inch DLP. Since this will be a basement, Im not sure what kind of ceiling or floor to use. What do you guys recommend? I was thinking of...
You didnt mention your budget, For size you can go with Swan 2.1's for front and rear and the C3 for a center. The faux black cherry is cheaper than the rosewood and sound ver neutral with the 1014. I am very happy with the sound. Throw in whatever sub you can get by your wife and there you go.
Actually, If the distance being measured is the mic distance from each speaker than MCACC was waaay off. THe sub distance was the worst culprit though. I used measuring tape and manually set the speaker distances to their exact distance. Now Im not sure If I should have done that. Also, what...
Did any of you correct your speaker distances after running MCACC? Mine was way off but maybe it set the distances longer for a reason? Just wondering If I should set them back to what MCACC set them at.
I got my VTF3=MKII yesterday and got it hooked up, it was cake. Do any of you use the phase control? I am a little confused by that and its use. I have it all the way down to 30. Let me just say that this sub is so accurate I cant believe it. I had a polk sub and while that was ok for the...
Yeah, I already have the swans and they look sweet. I actually preferred them to the rosewood. Now its just the sub part. Something about getting a sub that was normally $200 more... It may not match 100% but really, a sub is kind of seperate anyway.
Im trying to pick a sub out, many companies offer a rosewood sub but my Swan divas are Black cherry. Would it look weird to mix them? The sub will be behind my couch so it will not be next to the mains. The black is a bit dull and the rosewood is sweet. The hsu vtf3 is the same price as the...
I agree with you. I finally found a sound I love. That nice warm sound never makes me feel tired. I was playing GTA which is heavily laced with music and playing with the different sound modes all night. All I need is that sub...
Yung, my impression of Vanns is great now. They upgraded the shipping on the replacement unit so I could have it by last Friday. Im loving this new reciever though.
My pioneer 1014 came today. I hooked up my Swan 5.2/2.1/C3 system today and I am really happy with them. The best way I can describe them is you get all the detail without the harshness. The C3 is bigger than I thought and very detailed, you arent going to miss anything with this baby. The 5.2s...
