Stupid question about 4:3 HDTVs and progressive scan videogames

Ok one more question. If for instance your playing SC2 in 720p on a widescreen, can you set the stretch feature on the TV to fill the entire screen? Or wouldn't that work? Im asking because was going to get the 4:3 Sony KV36HS510 HDTV, but im planning to change my order to the 16:9...

Need some advice on Sony 34HS510 or 36HS510

Yeah I think I did answer my own question. Thing is I didn't want to spend over $1500. So I originally bought the 32", planning to pick it up this coming friday. Went back and upgraded to the 36". And now im going to change the order again to the 34" widescreen. :b There going to get sick of...

Stupid question about 4:3 HDTVs and progressive scan videogames

Ok this is probably a really dumb question. When your playing a progressive scan videogame on a 4:3 ratio HDTV in progressive scan is it full screen? Also about Soul Calibur 2. Ive heard people say that in 720p mode its boxed down to a 4:3 size. On a 4:3 TV would it be full screen? Thanks ;)

entry level TV (i.e. under about 800 bucks)

BTW Bill Will is right about the analog JVC 32". I have a year older model than the one he's refering to. But for an analog TV it kicks serious ass! Ive been very happy with mine.

entry level TV (i.e. under about 800 bucks)

I dont have one, but ive heard the Samsung 32" HDTV is a great entry level HDTV. Only $900. I was seriously considering it myself, but I decided to spend more. Im currenly looking at 34" widescreens myself. But if your on a budget, and dont need DVI inputs the Samsung should floot your boat...

Which do you prefer for gaming? 16:9 or 4:3?

Im going to finally get an HDTV soon. But im undecided between a 34" widescreen and the Sony 36" KV36HS510 HDTV. Im leaning twords the Sony 4:3 for a few reasons. 1) All older games are 4:3 and wont have to be stretched to make a decent screen size. 2) Widescreen DVDs, etc, will still be 33"...
