Jerry, I know that Pinnacle is not at all popular amongst this forum. But let me tell you, they are an amazing sounding speaker for the buck. In some ways I would say they are the SVS in the bookshelf speaker arena. That is a lot of performance for not alot of money. The vocals come through...
Eddy, I seem to recall some of the expert audiophiles on this forum, in the past mention that cheap sub woofer manufacturers employ some type of limiting circuitry to prevent the sub from being overdriven and bottoming out. Maybe this is why your cheap Infinty never did so. By no means am I...
Phil, The idea is to have it out of sight. My HT currently resides in our Living Room. And over the years we have acquired large pieces of furniture that now inhabit all the prime locations for a subwoofer.
Ron, Thanks for the advice. I don't yet have my SVS, I just placed my order a few days ago. I was hoping this type of placement would not be detrimental, because I may not have another option. Oh how nice it will be when I have a dedicated HT room, where I can put my sub wherever it most...
Because of placement constraints, I was considering laying the 20-39PC+ on its side behind the sofa. My sofa is located nearly against the rear wall of my listening room. Would this type of placement have any negative effects on the performance of the sub?
I'm probably going to require another 20-39+ to fill my HT w/ pulse pounding bass. My dimensions are 29'x19'x8' with an archway opening to a hallway opposite the listening area. One step at a time. I'm just glad I've finally put the 1st foot forward.
I finally placed my order this evening for a 20-39PC+ Their websight indicates a two week backorder :frowning: If only I had made up my mind sooner. Oh well, good things come to those who wait.
I thought I had my mind set on an svs 20-39 pc+. But now I've happend upon what seems like a great deal, if you beleive what the magazine reviews have to say about the pinnacle digital 600 sub. I can get two pinnacle dig 600s' for the price of one svs 20-39 pc+. The pinnacles are dual 12"...
Brad, I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I just bought my 1st RPTV, a Mits WS-55813. And upgraded my front main speakers to Pinnacle Black Diamond 1000's. I currently do not have a dedicated sub. I purchased a copy of DVE, and with much inthusiasm proceeded to calibrate my Mits. Well...
John, I'm new to the HT world. I just took posession of my 1st RPTV, a Mits Diamond WS-55813. I am extremely happy w/ the purchase. Picture was awsome right out of the box, well that is after I turnd down the contrast setting. I am getting myself a copy of the DVE calibration dvd today. I plan...
When I bought my Mitsubishi Diamond, which has three different tuners, two analog and one digital. I was put under the impretion that I would be able to receive, without any additional hardware, the HD broadcast within my standard cable package. I was told by the guys at Tweeter that my cable...
Steve, I'll try to describe a little better what it is I am seeing. If I put may face up close to the screen, I can see what I assume to be the individual lines of resolution. The screen looks like a fine grid of verticle and horizontal lines. I am seeing a few perfect little black squares...
Hi group, I'm a newby here on this forum and in the HT arena. How great is this, having such a powerful source of knowledge, and information at your fingertips! I can't express enough, how much I appreciate all of you, and your willingness to help us clueless, newbies. Anyway, I just jumped...
Wayne, Any particular reason for turning your PB2+ on end and eliminating the bottom plate? Was it for performance purposes, or is it just a better fit in your HT oriented that way?
Hey gang, This is my first post to the forum. I've been lurking for a short time, and I have come to the conclusion that I can't do without a kick but sub any longer. I recently upgraded my main front speakers from Optimus mach3's (Radio Shack)that I've had since I was twenty something. I used...
