Well, this isn't exactly a "deal", but if you open a checking account with Citibank, fund it with $2500 and pay at least 2 bills online per month for 12 consecutive months, you get a free iPod mini. (You get the mini after the first month.) More details here.
This perplexed me as well, but I figured it out eventually. Not only do you have to configure it to use the digital out on the main PS2 configuration, but you have to setup the audio the first time you put in a DVD. When you play a DVD on the PS2, hit select on the controller and a menu...
Does anyone know where DDD ships from? I placed my order on 6/17, says it shipped 6/19, but I still haven't received it. The email said to expect it between 6/28 and 7/3.
Yeah, my relative who works (soon to be worked) for Gateway said the plasma TVs were gobbled up by the employees. $1300 for a 42" display model, plus their employee discount - which I believe was 10%. Ah well.
Does anyone know if they're planning releasing the Matrix trilogy in one boxed set? Otherwise I'll just have to pick up all three DVDs separately. Thanks.
Chances are, there is indeed a IP address conflict. DHCP assigned IP address can take awhile to expire - or perhaps something it screwing up the expiration of the IP address. Or, it could be someone is piggy-backing on your wireless access point. Do you have some sort of WEP security key...
If you are using a Linksys router, you should update the firmware of the router. I had similiar issues with an earlier version of the Linksys firmware. Hope this helps.
Well, the only consideration between PCMCIA and USB is what port you're willing to use. Since you're using a laptop, why not just use the PCMCIA slot? Unless you're saving the slot for something else, that's what I'd go with. You would plug and unplug the card the same way as a USB card. I...
Yeah, Microcenter is not bad - their staff is a bit more knowledgable than the typical CompUSA employee. You'll still pay around the same price as CompUSA though.
There's your problem - if you want DD or DTS, you'll need to hook up your DVD player to your receiver using a digital output. Otherwise, all you'll get is stereo.
Question for you Voom subscribers: does the package include ESPN HD? I couldn't imagine it includes Comcast Sports Net HD. It does say "Comcast" after all... Thanks!
Well, that's provided you have the networking set up properly. Windows networking relies on TCP/IP (or some other network layer protocol) to communicate.
Well, if your machines can't even ping each other, that means TCP/IP networking isn't configured properly. There's no way it can join a domain if that's the case. First I'd try to get networking working. What are the IPs of your computers? If they all have a 10.10.10.x address block, you...
I have Comcast and as a previous poster said, only certain channels broadcast in digital. I have both the RCA composite audio and the digital coax hooked up to my Denon 1804 receiver. I have the audio on the receiver setup to auto so the preference is to use the digital coax, then fail back to...
Set the SSID, then disable the SSID broadcast. Then generate a decent WEP key via the passphrase. That should make things a bit more secure. Good luck!
Brian makes a good point. I remember reading somewhere (perhaps on the Beginner's FAQ) that if you expect a system to sound good, it will probably sound good. Most things in life is all about perception, whether it's your own or someone elses. Most people can't tell the difference between a...
I dunno. I personally believe cables do matter, up to a certain point. A $200 cable isn't going to make your $500 HTiB sound better, but it might make a difference on a $20,000 setup. Besides, you've just spent a considerable amount of money on a home theater - do you really want to skimp a...
Ron, I definitely think you'll see an improved performance jumping from 512 to 1026 MBs of Ram. Going by what you've told us, your computer seems to take time starting up. Many of the programs you listed, anti-virus, etc, are memory resident programs which utilize memory. But the program...
Josh, You'll need to connect both the digital coax out and the regular RCA analog to your receiver. The reason is not all channels broadcast using digital sound. I have the same cable box and had to do the same thing. Not sure about the TiVO issue, as I don't have Tivo.
