Holy cow man, that is nice! congrats. I too am in the market for a laptop because I need to be able to have a pc in the front room when im watching the kids. Francis how do you like that fujitsu that size of a pc would be ideal.can the little ones play any kind of games? Diablo 2 and similar...
im not familiar with either of those routers as I dont use them, but most lower end stuff usually have somekind of always connected feature. make sure that is enabled.
its a common problem with comcast, the modems they rent too you are junk. do yourself a favor and buy a motorola surfboard modem and get rid of your modem fee, and you wont have anymore connection issues.
Just add a switch in there, and you are done the easy way. if your gear has auto mdi/mdix it wont matter if you use a crossover or straight through cable. decent switches are super cheap nowadays, no reason too waste time setting up another router when you dont need to.
yeah you can burn mp3's onto a disc, just burn it as a data disc and the mp3 files will remain the same. Just rip the files you want into mp3 format and then burn em with Nero.
Bigger isnt always better, a good midtower will be eons better than a cheap ass large tower, its all about how the case is designed. Most good towers with good asirflow will allow you plenty of room for what you want.
your not gonna be able too use the internet search function without the files being tagged in some way. Musicmatch while it is kinda garbage will allow you too select tracks and enter the name of the artist and album and will find the song names for you. winamp will do the same.
Too hook it up too your Ht system you just need the proper cable/cables from your sound card too your receiver. something like this should work, in the proper length of course! http://www.cablestogo.com/product.as...2002&sku=29739
just realize that the cooler master power supply may not let you get that high. just a heads up thats all. remember just because it says its 630 watts or whatever doesnt mean it is. there are lots of really good psu's in that price range that even thou they have a lower wattage rating, they will...
Good luck getting too the 3 ghz mark,I would also try and get a better GPU if your gonna game with it, the 7600 isnt that spectacular for gaming. I would also suggest that you get a more dependable brand of PSU if your going too overclock.
your not crippling anything, just because the processor is 64 bit doesnt mean you need 64 bit software, AMD 64 bit procs are extremely efficient in 32 bit apps you wont notice any real difference, as far as burning and doing other things at the same time, get more ram! you will be fine.
I cant even remember the last time ive had virii or spyware, but I never use IE, and I have spywareblaster installed, along with Antivirus which I rarely use too scan but I have it. only firewall i use is on my router box, which is m0n0wall.
another thing of which ive had issues with in the past is the brand of discs I used, ive found that if i dont use something good like fujifilm discs or the like that I cant burn at full speed either.
I would get at least a 7800 GS, really depends what games you wanna play. If you are a first person shooter type of gamer then your choices are more important. heres one of the better deals around right now; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150202 I personally like ATI cards...
