"Undead" Feature & DVD - Worth it?

I thought it had a couple fun gore moments but was generally awful, and I'm a huge sucker for this type of movie. Peter Jackson's early stuff was way better. I mean, even Bad Taste had a better plot than this. Rent before you buy.

    UMD MOVIE REVIEW: Coach Carter

I'm personally not concerned about 1.85:1 movies being cropped, but this all but declares that they're going to crop everything else as well. God bless Universal and Buena Vista. I never thought I would type that sentence.

HTF UMD REVIEW: Black Hawk Down

Ugh, it's MAR. If they stopped chopping these movies up, I'd start buying them. I don't care how good it looks. It's the principle. Especially with Ridley Scott movies.

    UMD Review - Van Helsing

It's good to see Universal is sticking with OAR. Too bad I hate this piece of garbage movie with a burning passion. Thanks for the review, though. I wish Sony and Fox would take a cue from Universal and Buena Vista. Kinda funny how the quality studios are reversed when it comes to UMD as...

    HTF UMD REVIEW: Starship Troopers

Very nice review. I appreciate what you're doing here, and I agree on all counts. I just got some Headbanger Earsubs and the movie sounded awesome on them. In fact, I had to turn it way down. So you were 12 when this came out? I was too. One of my first hard R's as well. This and Pulp...

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: House of Flying Daggers (RECOMMENDED)

I've got a Chinese DVD of this (I think it's either Edko or a bootleg of the Edko release) that has one of the best DTS tracks I've ever heard. It's full-bitrate and jaw-dropping. I really hope a Superbit comes out soon, though, because the video quality sucks. It seems to be converted from a...

Need help with fighting in Resident Evil 4

Wow. I just... I'm dumbfounded. This is probably my favorite game of all time. I found it completely enthralling from the moment I started playing. Everything was perfect. The controls, the pacing, the graphics, the intensity level, the difficulty level (I actually thought it was pretty...

Looks like the Donner cut of Superman II may have jumped through its legal hurdles!!!

So I guess the jig is up! I was kinda wondering how long it would take someone to click on the link to my blog. I'm sorry guys, I just couldn't help it. But it's not like I didn't leave any clues. I asked for a Lowry restoration and Mark Pillow commentary for cryin' out loud! Just imagine how...

Looks like the Donner cut of Superman II may have jumped through its legal hurdles!!!

Facetious? Sir, that's insulting. While you guys sit around pontificating about something that will never happen, potential cinematic gold awaits in the vaults of Warners. I'm tired of cutrate releases of Superman IV. I get so tired of defending the movie. I see potential greatness in it. Is...

Looks like the Donner cut of Superman II may have jumped through its legal hurdles!!!

Why are you people all whining about Superman II? Good grief, it's a lost cause. The movie is unsalvageable. Seriously, there are better things to worry about, such as the 45 MINUTES OF UNSEEN FOOTAGE FROM SUPERMAN IV. I've been waiting to see Furie's original cut for YEARS now, and frankly I'm...

Looks like the Donner cut of Superman II may have jumped through its legal hurdles!!!

The thread title says "may have." There isn't anything remotely certain about that. Maybe Nick got a bit overexcited, but don't be so anal.

Queens of the Stone Age -- Lullabies to Paralyze

I like the album quite a bit, but there are several skippers. However, I Never Came isn't one of them for me. It's my favorite track. The CD could use more hard songs though, and I'll agree on tracks 10-14. They just don't quite come together.

House Of Flying Daggers R1 - April 19

I'm waiting for the Superbit, myself. Those features look pretty weak aside from the commentary. I wonder if that will be in Chinese with subs or what? Those accents together would probably be unintelligible. I have a Chinese DVD that has the most incredible full-bitrate dts I think I've ever...

Is the OOP, Recalled, Unaltered version of The Devil's Advocate still very valuable?

Thanks Vince. Apparently Nick and I's memories were clouded on the subject. Now I guess about the only holy grails of this type are some OOP Criterions and the original Little Shop of Horrors DVD.

Is the OOP, Recalled, Unaltered version of The Devil's Advocate still very valuable?

On the original version, there's an extra red box just above the copyright info that has a big legal disclaimer. It reads as follows: "The large white sculpture of human forms on the wall of John Milton's penthouse in "Devil's Advocate" is not connected in any way and was not endorsed by the...

Is the OOP, Recalled, Unaltered version of The Devil's Advocate still very valuable?

Alright, it's about time I started posting on HTF. Brandon, were those advertised as being the original version, or did you just happen to notice it?
