Hi. I am looking for a product that will fit my needs.. What I want to do is be able to watch TV (Dish Network) in various places around the house where you normally wouldn't find a TV such as the garage, deck... maybe the bathroom... Wireless would be cool, but the Sony and Sharp wireless TVs...
Hi. I just purchased the above reciever and I am having trouble programming this remote for my Philips DirecTivo 6000. I can't seem to find a code for it although the instructions say it works with satelite, DVR, etc. I have the remote working for all my other components. Any ideas? Thanks!
Thanks for the suggestions. I am also wondering where the price vs. performance factor starts to decline. I am not going to spend a few hundred dollars for one set of cables and I don't want to use a set of crappy TARGET cables....
The Pioneer 563A's manual is so vague and hard to understand that I didn't even know it had DD and DTS decoding until i read a review after I bought it! If I use the digital out, I won't be able to play DVD-A or SACD's since I don't have a digital in on my receiver, only have 5.1 analog ins...
Hi. I am trying to set up the DV-563A DVD player to you the 5.1 analog audio outs with my Yamaha receiver that has 5.1 analog audio ins. The manual says the DVD player has built in DD and DTS decoders and I would like to use that. Previously, I had a Panasonic DVD player that connected to a...
Hi. I am wondering about different brands of decent quality audio interconnects for my 5.1 system. Preferably in all-in-one type of cable. I know about Monster of course, but would like other suggestions balancing quality and price. Thanks!
I have been pretty happy with it. I've never had problems palying regular movies. It just that since it is older, it isn't compatible with the newer technologies. And the damn thing won't die so I can buy a new one!
Yeah, that is just my luck. I thought my receiver died on me but it turned out the speaker connections were touching. A little electrical tape solved the problem... I really wanted a good excuse for a new receiver.
I know... I should just replace the thing but it works otherwise just fine... :frowning: Thanks for the link, very cool. Although some people did report that Fuji 4x +R media worked fine on their A110. Thanks!
Hi all. You've probably guessed my question by now.... I know the A110 is an old model but I read on cdfreaks that it should play +R disc's. So, I have burned a movie with DVD X Copy ( one I already own, of course :) ) and low and behold the player reads "no disc". It works beautifully on my...
I had a relatively cheap Belkin on my home theater. I lighting storm fried my sub woofer even though it was attached to the surge suppressor. However, all I had to do was send the surge suppressor to Belkin and they paid for a new sub woofer and sent me a new surge suppressor. So I would...
hi I am wondering what the differences between these series are. They seem to have similar specs and prices... so I don't understand the differences. Thanks!
The Denon certianley seemed better made than the Pioneer. The things that stand out about the Pioneer to me are the automated set up and ... the remote.
Cool. I am not too worried about the up-converting. I thought it would be nice to have the inputs for video and audio switched at the same time, as opposed to having to switch both separately. Thanks!
Hi. I read a review for the Pioneer VSX-D912K that stated it output component video to your TV. In effect you could "combine" signals from say your DVD player, VCR or satellite into one component out. My TV only has one component in, so this would be very cool. Am I understanding this correct...
Ok... I went out and listened. I narrowed to the Denon AVR-1804 and Pioneer VSX-D912K. I lik ethe additional power, remote and automated setup of the Pioneer. To tell the truth I could sense little difference in the sound, I don;t think my ears are that refined. I can get the Denon though...
Yeah I have heard good things about Pioneer's 912. It seems vrey nice but I was always under the impression that Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc just don't have the quality sound and build of the HK, Denon, Yamaha, etc.
