I am considering buying a Sony RPTV, because of the size and low price. But i have been looking at LCD Projection tv's as well. I was wondering if the PQ is about the same when watching HDTV and dvd movies. Also one of my main concerns is issues with Burning In images and also delayed video (for...
Im looking for a new car deck to replace the stock radio. I have looked a couple of online stores for some i might be interested in, and im looking for a sleek looking one that has a some kind of display that shows little animations and what not, is powered well, plays mp3's/has text. I'm...
Yes its obvious that the best place to hit to get some free electronics would be in the ghetto. Why would anyone want to go to steal from people who own high-end speakers, dvd players, tv's etc. That's just pure nonsense! I should know this because i've been in law enforment for 15 years.
For Sony receivers you have to turn it up pretty loud. Typically on my STR-DE895 I have to turn it to about 60 out of 74 (which is the max), to get it to be pretty loud watching movies.
On the burning program, look for where it says something about Making an Audio CD, then you should be able to select the songs you want, in your case, either mp3 or wma files, then able to burn them and play them on a regular cd player. Btw, im assuming you have a burning program, but did...
I just received the DTS version of Toy Story laserdisc, and i have my CLD-D703 hooked up through a digital coax cable to my receiver, which is a Sony STR-DE895. For some reason i don't get any sound at all, and i even tried hooking it up using a TOSlink optical cable. Am i supposed to select...
I never really thought about seeing whats on that side of the disc until i read this thread, heres a screen capture i took on the 4th side of Lorenzo's Oil http://lilbishman.50megs.com/LDturtle.jpg
Yah i know about that, for now im using S-video, but like i said in the really near future im upgrading my TV, so i want to have a dvd player now that will already be able to kick some sort of ass. The Zenith DVB-318 does sound really good, from the review i read on amazon.
I've come across this on right here http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....3&type=product its a Sony DVP-NS575P, which features progressive scan,3-2 pull down, PCP (Precision Cinema Progressive) technology, and it's actually under 100. There is a model above it, but it does not feature...
Im looking for one in the 100-200 dollar range, and i need help choosing one isn't regarded as a player to stay away from. Granted, almost anything will probably be better then what i am using now to watch dvd's(which is a playstation 2). Here are somethings im looking for -Progressive Scan...
That's a very nice list. Im sure the person put a lot of work into it. Anyways. So the movies that are encoded in Dolby Digital EX, some need to be manually put on Matrixed surround back decoding. Is it like a newer feauter on the dvd's that turn it on automatically?
After watching Finding Nemo on dvd, and having the Surround Back Decoding on Auto, the receiver automatically picked up the surround back channel, same thing with Terminator 2. But when watching movies like Star Wars Episode 2 Clone Wars and Monsters INC, i had to manually turn it to Matrix...
Do not get the Sony DE895, it's not what you are looking for to power the speakers you have. The receiver is really underpowered, and is not really 110 per channel. With the Sony Floor Standing speakers i have, i usually have to have it at 63 out of 74 on the volume for it to sound really good
Well, you can either get something really good External one like this, cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3455228682&category=3666 It had both optical and coax outputs. But since (im guessing) you have a desktop pc, which i dont have since im limited to only the external usb ones...
All you need is something that goes from the headphone jack, to a standard rca cable. I have a Monster Standard Interlink 200 going from my laptop into my receiver. All you need is an updated version of your dvd program, like Windvd or PowerDvd, and you should be able to get 5.1 I usually...
Haha im not a goon but i do like reading SomethingAwful. I did a look on ebay and the only HSU sub i could find was a sub amp. The reason why i picked between the HK and the Sony was i could get them from their wholesalers very cheap. I tried doing a search for a cheaper price on the model...
You copy the link i posted into your window then look at it and go back. It's about as difficult as reading what i said. The problem with getting a dayton or SVS or whatever is popular around here is that im trading one of my power amps for a sub. It's not straight cash that im getting...
