Sorry if this has been posted before: DVD Debate has a tidbit claiming that "Columbia Tristar have stated that they will be releasing two new editions of Sam Raimi's excellent superhero movie Spider-Man, as well a releasing the superb new animated series that is currently being shown on TV...
I don't get that either. Columbia should've put a DTS version of Spiderman out there. But I guess I'll wait for the other "collector's" edition. As long as it has DTS that would be nice. Region 2..lucky guys:
the one from Dolby that you can buy from their store is only 20 plus shipping. Not a bad price for a demo DVD. considering that usually they go over 40 at times.
Does anyone know if this version will be on sale in the US? I know there's one overseas that just came out. I would totally buy this movie on Superbit.
Dolby has a demo DVD for sale at their online store. www.dolby.com THX, hard to find like others mentioned. I have a demo DVD that came with my Dell THX certified PC. I've been using that and its cool. DTS; There was a new demo (DVD #8) that was given out at the CES in Las Vegas (from...
DTS: Saving Private Ryan (DTS edition). The sound is terrific. I have wowed friends when they check out my system. Jurassic Park (DTS edition): T-Rex Scene Gladiator (DTS ES): Opening Scene THX: Mostly the stuff from the Demo DVD. That classic intro is always fantastic. Dolby EX...
John, very true! I think I'm going to spend some time reading about these differences and how they would apply on our systems. It used to be a matter of: insert disc/press play but I have more manuals in front of me than actual work. Its all good, I've enjoyed everything I've learned from...
I did as Don suggested and placed the Widescreen Toshiba TV on the Full Setting. I played Saving Private Ryan DTS Edition and the movie played PERFECTLY on the TV. The entire screen was filled as if the movie was made just for this TV. Now, in regards of the other movies which looked...
Simon! oh my gosh, I was about to start a thread on exactly the same thing (!) Anyway, I have the same model of the Widescreen TV and a Sony DVD Player (DVP-NS999ES). I have been reading the manual for both the TV and the DVD Player and have found the same dilemma you are having. The...
I have watched The Lion King, Finding Nemo and The Core and didn't have that problem. Have you tried contacting Denon support? they may be of some help before going back to the dealer.
on a related note...I've had just bad experiences with Comcast technicians. Not too nice. Of course, they are the only ones with cable-modem service in my area.
Jasen, I have purchased my items online. If you have the knowledge on the type of product that you may be interested in, you may find a better deal online. However if you are not too familiar with the products, setups or requirements, a local dealer would be the first stop.
Hi, I have a Toshiba 16x9 myself and have gotten a progressive scan dvd player. I made changes on the settings for the DVD player so that is progressive when playing a movie and to play them in the 16x9 ratio. So far its been great and didn't see any of jiggle mentioned above. The only...
