Just an observation. Got my new Samsung home and hooked it up. WHAT A PICTURE!!!! My brothers jaw dropped. Anyone looking should look at this TV. Steve L
I have adjusted the convergence on my Hitachi Ultrascan rear proj. tv, but as you get farther(further) from the center the lines go off. Is this just the way things are, or is there some other way of adjusting the pic. that I am not aware of, perhaps I could get a pro to come in and adjust it...
IT is my opinion that a sacd does not have a lfe signal if you go analog straight thru, therefor only regular bass will be played. If you have a processor that will create a lfe signal digitally without affecting the other six channels, then you will get great bass. That's the way I have it and...
If you are a button type of guy, Hometheatermaster MX-700 works for me. Programs from your computer after you install the editor, and if by chance a device is not in data base, learning is a snap. I had six, now I have one.
Unless I am wrong, that center chanel speaker is very large. Hope your tv can support it. MY experience with Studio 40's is it takes about 100 hrs to break them in. Sounded a might harsh at first, but now fantastic pushing them with my Anthem Amp.
I knew a guy who spent soo much time calibrating and aiming, he did not want to listen unless everything was perfect, but because he couldn't get everything perfect, he never listened. Any of you guy's actually listen to the system or do you just measure and calibrate.....heh....heh. From...
I just purchased the Anthem Products you mentioned, and you may be able to get both for about $4000. In that range, the Anthem is tops in my book. Good luck. By the way, I am on the east coast.
Don't really know what to call it, but does anyone know of a speaker wire splitter A-B type switch so you can hook up both your di-poles, and regular surround speakers and select between them with a switch. My old Denon reciever could do this with a-b speaker set ups, but new receiver will not...
I know the GFA series is 200w per chanel the 5500 is a stereo amp, the 5503 is a 3 chanel amp also rated at 200w per chanel into 8ohms. Very well respected. I recently got a 5500 for $450 on ebay. Hope this helps.
If i feed my Hitachi rear projection tv a HD signal, or play a DVD the picture goes black every few seconds. Never happens with other feeds like video disk recorder or straight cable channels not HD. What gives. Something I can adjust? Help!!!!! Steve L.:frowning:
Getting Anthem AVR20 and MCA50 Amp next week. Hope those of you who already have this are happy. I heard it at the store, blew me away. Probably will not sound quite as good in my smallish room, but can't wait to give my Paradigm Studio 40's some real power. Steve L.
LOcal HT shop has a Rotel 1066 that he claims was brought back after a week to upgrade, will warranty it. Will Sell for $1150. Is this a good price? Thanks for the input. Steve L.:frowning:
I have heard that they are good. I have also heard they are part of Sonic Frontiers which is going out of biz. What is what? Should I invest in, I think the MCA50? Thanks Steve L.
Once again I need the help of the knowledgeable folks here. Is there a medium priced pre/pro that will do most of what my Denon AVR-3300 will do. Thinking of getting separates. Thanks Steve L.
Newbie question. If I get this amp,(Adcom GFX-5500) how do I integrate it into my current home theater set up. I want it to power my front speakers when I listen to stereo only. I guess my question is how do I balance the volume when I am using my surrounds and center channel with the two...
thinking of using my Denon Receiver as a preamp to control the two main front speakers, using an amp/amps to power the two speakers. Would need about 100w per channel as the Denon gives that now. You guy's are the experts, I am new, new, new at this. Welcome any and all suggestions. Let the...
I am relatively new at this so if this is an obvious question I am sorry. I have a Denon 3300 now and hooked up the ext. out 6 chanels of my Denon SACD player to the ext. in on the back of the reciever. Now the question. thinking of upgrading to Rotel. Was on the web site and saw a rear view. No...
