well i just used low level outputs, setup works fine. I put the crossover on the subwoofer to its lowest setting, 40hz, but the low sections of most vocals are still reproduced in the subwoofer. Any clue how to fix this? I'm playing stereo music.
I got the sub, I'm using L/R low level inputs, crossover at 40hz (lowest), and the sub still goes up pretty high, it reproduces the lower parts of many vocals. any insight?
Chaintech AV710 Hi Sample - > 1/8 to L/R RCA - > Advent 420S aux-in. The advent drives the rockets, and only has a tape-out (2x rca), so I was thinking I should use that to connect to the subwoofer via with L/R rca plugs (more output that way). Should I do it the other way around, so that the...
In terms of output and quantity alone, how does this dayton compare with the sub from a computer multimedia system, say from the sub of the logitech z-5500 (10 incher) or the klipsch 5.1 ultra?
Which one do you guys think is better? Velodyne is rated to 35hz +-3db, whereas the finished Dayton is rated to 25hz. They both are roughly the same price, $129 vs $124. Any ideas? I'm looking to purchase asap. P.S. I will be pairing with an vintage Advent Response Model 420s hi-fi...
The general consensus on broadbandreports (dot com) is that DSL Lite is for those who do not care about internet enough to pay alittle more for unproportionally better service.
There is also a Hitachi 50" and 60" for $650 and $790 respectively. However, they are not HDTV. Would it be wise to choose a bigger screen and sacrifice HDTV? I dont currently have any HDTV sources, but I am open to anything, within my limited budget.
I would recommend the Logitech z680 over Klipsch PMS 5.1, the Logitech. The Logitech's are cheaper the Klipsch's, but their build quality is excellent, and IMHO sound better. 640's are low-budget speakers.
Thanks for the advice, there is no reason to get an Apex television with better brands at same price poitns. The Hitachi 43" hdtv (43FDX01B) on uecweb looks good. Can it do HDTV out of the box, or will I have to purchase something else? Also, are there any other brands or models that would be...
I would second the recommendation for 1812 overture telarc, the dynamic range is amazing. I believe the vinyl had a warning to play at low volumes so as to not damage any equipment.
Hello, today I saw an advertisement for Sears, and they have a 43 inch Apex HDTV television on sale for $699 US( $999-300). Sounds like a good deal, but I am worried about the quality of Apex televisions. Currently I have a 27 inch Toshiba Flat Tube Analog that I plan to move to the bedroom...
