I was wondering if many receivers have digital audio drop out while layer changes in a dvd movie. Also during extreme quiet times in movie. I have a sr5300. I am particularly looking for info on Denon 2803 or Marantz sr6300 or Yamaha 640. Thanks.

Thanks, I was using a digital cable. My JVC never had this problem with the same setup. I took the receiver back to the dealer and got a new one. So far this new unit seems to be working. Thanks

Has anyone had a problem with the digital coax input? I just purchased the 5300 and when I listen to my digital cable box the sound drops and a loud shrill squel comes out of a speaker, or a poping noise from another speaker. Thanks,

I am looking at 3 receivers. Nad T742-H/K 230-Yamaha5660.I listen to 40%music and 60%movies.How would any of these work with B&W 602 s1's. I am interested in a good pre-amp section as I may get a seperate 5 channel amp down the road. I also am only interested in 5.1 surround. Thanks, Carl
